just means we have to go out and get lebron and ................... cousins

ball
kuzma
ingram
lebron
cousins (only if he looks as good after his injury heels)

*can u say size Size SIZE! (well after kuzma/ingram both add another 20lbs)

Cousins tore his Achilles. Not an MCL, ACL...Achilles. Dude won’t be the same again.

I'm one of the few who thinks Phoenix already has a *great* core of Booker, Jackson, Warren (& Bender, Chriss)... but this upcoming draft can be franchise altering for them. They're going to be good.

malik pope.. never improved, never leveled up in role to mature his skillset...just plays the regular shmegular PF/C role. When he was a legit point forward in high school, should have kept developing that skillset but the role wouldn't let him

Eh, i'm not so worried about them. They already have Barnes at the 4. They're paying him 50 million the next two years. They're gonna pay Randle another 15 or 16 mil to back him up? Or move Barnes to the 3 where he's less effective?

It makes way more sense for them to go after Hezonja and not worry about ORL matching.

did you see my post that Fran Fraschilla claims he is committed to return to school for another year as of right now? Does not mean that is what will happen, just did not know if you saw post.

Ugh. Just saw the tweet.

Shorter Shawn Marion, that one.

Listed at 6'7" but 7' wingspan. Never saw PreDraft measurements.

Do you think it's going to make a huge difference where exactly Cleveland ends up falling in the draft order, with regards to the talent available? I'm talking #20-22 range versus #23-25.

I still kind of like him as a bouncy, long PF/C with shooting potential and solid defensive instincts. Plus still some potential to develop some ball handling on the perimeter. Down to take a flyer in the 2nd, despite the fact that he's "old" now. Although I guess we already have TB we're trying to develop.

He's definitely been a frustrating guy to watch tho, especially after having some flashes of that point-forward potential you mentioned as a freshman. One of those "sum of the parts is way less than the whole" type guys -- in a vacuum you can say "he's long, athletic, moves well, can shoot, has shown some handles, can swat, capable of switching, etc, and he sounds like a lotto pick. But you watch him play and he's obviously not.

Wow, this is so helpful. Anyone have a workaround for WSJ articles? I already know the NYT workaround (Chrome incognito window)

The players are mostly within the same tier, but I definitely would have preferences of one over the other.

I'm one of the few who thinks Phoenix already has a *great* core of Booker, Jackson, Warren (& Bender, Chriss)... but this upcoming draft can be franchise altering for them. They're going to be good.

Eh. They have pieces, and Booker can be an offensive centerpiece at the very least, but it's a mismatched puzzle at this point. Also I don't think Warren is nearly as good as his PPG would suggest - he only plays one end of the floor (like Book), but his skillset is practically archaic at this point and they'll need to give him an extension this summer. Bender and Chriss...still not sure what they are at the NBA level, though I'm fairly convinced that Chriss isn't going to be a difference maker.

And they've gotten awfully good at losing. It's not easy to turn that kind of culture around, as we've experienced ourselves over the last few seasons, and we were actually TRYING to win for the most part unlike them. They also don't have a long-term answer at coach yet. We'll see what happens with this year's draft. Obviously if they get a stud on the level of Embiid, KAT, etc., the discussion changes. But that's still far from a guarantee.

If I'm Phx, I get Ayton, Gilgeous-Alexander, and Troy Brown.

That's franchise altering. Even Bender can relax as an offensive threat next to Ayton.

Who's on your list of franchise altering prospects in this draft? Ayton and Doncic, with a little Trae sprinkled in?

Depends on how "franchise altering" is defined, but the general consensus of the Top 6 guys.

Ayton
Doncic
JJJ
Porter Jr.
Bagley
Young

All of these guys are ridiculously talented. I just like JJJ the most because I think he's the best 2-way/most role player like of the entire group.
