My only worry with Troy Brown atm is his three point shooting. other than that he's very solid.

So much easier to teach 3pt shooting than it is to know what it means to draw in a 2nd defender and consistently find the open man, and make the pass.

He's a PG out there, at wing size, and doesn't need the high USG.

Troy Brown is a big boy too. 215lbs , 6'7. built like a SF, moves like a SF.. but with some guard skills for sure.. was a ball dominant guard in high school
Loved him before the year. his shooting has disappointed, but we've seen those reclamation projects turn out well, when the mechanics aren't bad to start. Would love to draft him, find a way to move up 5 spots!

I know I've been pro Hutchison all season long, but the real win is Troy.

It would be phenomenal if Troy comes off the bench to spell Ingram, and has that degree of playmaking to his game, even if the shot isn't all the way there yet.

it might not be a comp that gets many people excited, but troy brown gives me some strong evan turner vibes, and i think getting a player of turner's caliber at the mid-late 1st round would be an excellent draft.

I have nothing negative to say about Brunson...I have always appreciated what he brings to the table, and I think he will have a long successful NBA career. I guess when you say overlooked, I compare that to Jevon, who had one single high major scholarship offer. Irregardless of what I or anyone thinks about him compared to Brunson.....I have to think there are a lot of Top 25 teams that could have used a Jevon Carter these past 4 years. I recall the year Carter came to WVU.....Dax Miles and Elijah Macon were considered the best WVU recruits in that class.

I was thinking more like the guy Boris Diaw was supposed to be, but he wasn't this natural, this young.

Ya I've seen that as well. Thick 6'7s with guard skills. Brown has more shooting upside though, just comparing forms. Turner's form is super broke, gotta watch out for those, Josh Jackson included

This isn't about individual players. I meant that it's overlooked that Villanova as a TEAM is ranked for best offensive rating, #1 for basically point spread + strength of schedule, etc.

Frankly, I don't care about the # of scholarship offers. It doesn't and shouldn't affect the way I look at a player.

I especially don't care about HS rankings.

I don't recall Evan Turner being that decisive of a playmaker at Ohio St. I remember he was a really well-rounded player and considered "smooth," but never as deliberate as Troy attacking the defense, draw the help, hit the open man, both sides of the floor.

Brown is ahead of Turner as a freshman, easily. I'm just saying I think he fits Turner's NBA archetype

It feels like Zhaire Smith's stock is going to rise to the point where he almost has to come out. Man, if he could somehow slip to our pick.....

bolded Lakers picks

at 24 i would take hutchison, melton, milton, shamet, brunson, carter, okobo over bruce brown. maybe tony carr too.

at 43 i would take carter and okobo over diallo. 43 is probably decent value to try and coach diallo into a basketball player.

Thanks for all of the knowledge! Now that DraftExpress is down, Mike is my main source for info.

Mike AT LG, if Zhaire Smith declares, do you see him available in the 20-25 draft range?

He has an impressive resume playing for Bosnia:

2014: Euro U-16, Top Scorer
2015: Euro U-16, Top Scorer, MVP, Assists Leader and Champion
2016: World U-17: Top Scorer, 1st Team
2017: Euro U-18, Top Scorer

SF, 6'9, prolific scorer from everywhere, but lacks athleticism.

I have no idea if he's a good prospect for #24, but he's worth looking.

Unless he shows out in workouts, feels too high in my opinion.

not buying, I would wager he is not considered in the top 25 picks.

do not get the Anfernee Simons experience....guy leaves Montverde because he is not getting PT....enrolls and plays at public school, does pretty good, then heads to IMG for a 5th year. He is older than some college Freshman in the draft....and has proved very little in my opinion.
