Jazz and Atlanta feel like the biggest threats but I did remember reading this tweet a while back, Jazz like Frazier

I'm down. but I think the Lakers will want to keep assets in case we trade Deng or make Lebron-trades

He has potential to be a really great shooter though. Go get a real trainer

Watched his pro day workout. Maybe he was tired but poor shooting performance.

He has a reputation as a shooter because he can’t do anything else, but he really isn’t a great shooter.

If he wasn’t related to Lonzo he wouldn’t even be on the NBA radar.

That standing reach is pretty poor. I’m paying a lot of attention to it as the league moves more to switching.

don't even want him on the G-league team.
It's doubtful that he's even good enough to make a G-league team, but if he was, the Lakers don't need anymore headaches from Lavar.
"The Lakers would win more if they promoted him from the G-league"
"LiAngelo is a better shooter than Curry (or Kuz or....) - and the Lakers have him stuck in the G-league"
it'd be never ending, and it's pretty clear Liangelo isn't worth the aggravation

Maryland's offense was sloppy as hell and too often centered around Fernando post-ups. Huerter floated too much in the games I watched, but he also was hindered by weak screens and lazy passes/poor vision from his teammates. I think he definitely needs to stick in the draft because I don't know what he gets basketball-wise going back - even going against pro defenders he's going to get more space and better looks on an NBA court.

Hopefully he lands with the Lakers and Luke can bring out the kid's inner dragon, because when he decides to turn it on, Huerter can be a really deadly overall scorer a la Kuz.

Also, I'm out on Fernando. Dude is a bouncier Kwame Brown.

Don't get our hopes for the red mamba just for him to get snatched up by Houston at 46

By the way, is Huerter similar to RJ Hunter? Or different still set?

Yeah, I moved Huerter up to #21 (going to Utah) in my latest mock. It just feels like a Jazz pick. A talented, young, lengthy white shooter, who has some Ingles in him? It almost seems too easy of a pick lol.

We'll just have to hope that they like somebody else even more.

He runs like the throwers used to on the rare occasions they had to actually run on our track team

That standing reach is pretty poor. I’m paying a lot of attention to it as the league moves more to switching.

Yeah 8'1.5 reach is really bad. Isn't Avery Bradley's similar though?

Ya but he's 6'3, 8'2 reach. Clarkson 6'4.5 8'2.5 reach.

I wonder if Lonzo also has a short reach, bcuz his brother has the same wingspan

does he have the motor and endurance (or work ethic to develop that endurance) to run off ball the way a miller, rip hamilton, jj redick does? does he have the work ethic to work on technique to set up and use off ball screens to get himself open?

these are questions that are unanswerable from our vantage point without personal insight into the kid himself.
