It means the Lakers either have another deal planned or they have someone they really like in that range. Either way it's good.

Maybe packaging 25 + 39 to get closer to the teens?

I like it. With 2019 shaping up to be a weaker draft, consider this a win.

That would be my assumption. They don't have the guaranteed portion of the first round pick by dealing it away.

Well,... No. We kept the #47 and got the #39. Given the depth from 20-30 and 30-40. That's a great get. May be for trade, but if not it's terrific. A lot of talent there.

so many scenarios... preparing more assets to obtain Kawhi or divesting themselves of Deng...

As someone else said... could just be preparing cheap contracts for a three man super team.

Whatever happens it will be exciting tomorrow!

Well done, Maginka! I like it and they clearly like a few folks early in the second.

Maybe the Lakers can use picks 25 and 39 as ammo to move up for Texas Tech's Zhaire Smith, who they like and worked out on Monday at their practice facility.

The Lakers could also potentially move up for Huerter as well.

I know one cat that could slip to #39 that I would love to have.....probably as much as I want Kawhi on an emotional level.

I'd love for us to take him at 39

Apparently Allonzo Trier could be an option. I gues we brought him in for a second workout. I feel like i liked him a lot in the beginning of the season but then he sort of fell off.

wonder when we will learn how much of "our" $5 Million we spent? Also, that 2019 pick may be a Top 35 pick....but most project a 2018 #38 > 2019 #35.

That would mean they gave up on the three FAs then if they are going for quality over depth.

So the sixers traded for worse future 2nd round pick? How big of a deal is that cash?
