Christ, from a college kid? Nowadays we see these lottery guys come to the league as 60% or barely 70% ft shooters. At least we know he’s gonna be a shooter. |
20% jump from last year. |
was not insinuating that he is not good at basketball....or that he will not have a good NBA career....just if your looking to hit a home run in the lottery, I am not sure he is the guy....seems more like a fringe starter/rotation guy...but maybe I am just not seeing it....just thinking out loud. |

Even scorer, way better shooter than Randle, practically even steal/block, double the assists compared to Randle.
Gives up 5% or so in total rebounding.
Go by the freshman season if you'd like to compare by age. I'm not even a die-hard Miles Bridges fan, but I'd give up that 5% reb for 39% arc shooting, and wish Randle could do that. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Of all the things we want or predict to happen ( some teams to start to lose a lot so we can sneak into playoffs or at least give a pick to philly to the end of the lottery or thunder to lose heavily so we can get out of there paul george) i think the most sure bet is that our pick from cavalliers will end up between 21-25. If there wasnt such a special player like lebron and it was john wall p.e. this team would belong to the lottery. |

A Randle that shot close to 39% from beyond the arc is essentially mini LeBron.
He'd probably be on his way to being a top 3 PF in the NBA _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If the Cavs slip enough in the standings, I like taking a gamble on Mitchell Robinson. Perfect athletic modern 5, and great insurance just in case Randle leaves. |

Lmao...just stop bro. LeBron runs pick and roll as the ball handler. Pulls up from deep, mid-range all over. Primary ball handler for the better part of the game. That's not even bringing up the large difference in passing ability. Randle is balling out this year, but here is a reason LBJ is considered top 10 ever while Julius is HOPING to make 18 mil in the off-season, and it ain't just "39%" from deep. |

Nah. Miles is shorter, not as crazy built but very muscular, and has less wingspan than Randle.
But he'd make a killer 3rd option. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

.....but won't that average wingspan be a problem for him on defense?

tonight was the last college game him and Dax Miles will ever play in the Coliseum....4 years of watching those two play together as a back court combo...over 100 wins and counting...first time I can recall my eyes getting watery during a basketball game since Kobe's final game. |

Na the Cavs. I think our FO likes ready to contribute players..Kuzma and Hart were upperclassmen..
and we could use a point of attack nuisance . The Stipien has him at #24 |

marquette's sam hauser might be a very good 2nd round pick...
6'7 shooting .504 from 3.
advanced stats: .680 TS%, 11.3 TRB%, 1.8 STL%, 1.7 BLK%, 9.3 BPM
not very athletic but as automatic a shooter as i've seen in CBB with good size. decent rebounder/positional defender. good at attacking hard closeouts with one or two dribble pullups. not a sexy pick but more likely to stick in the NBA as a specialist than most 2nd round picks. _________________ substance over style |

I think Carter can be a solid NBA rotation player, and if he were that and if we took him in the 20's, I guess I wouldn't hate it. That said, I do think there will be better prospects available in that range, even seasoned college players. |

Is he a bigger, much better shooting version of Bronson Koenig, at least offensively? A guy who is going to take more than half of his shots from distance? Maybe like the Summer League version of Matt Thomas, but bigger and with maybe a slightly better rebounding/defensive impact? |

roughly speaking, a bigger matt thomas is a fair characterization. hauser has very solid A/TO and 2pt% as well. nice statistical profile and his shooting really pops. _________________ substance over style |

I'm trying not to delve too deep into the draft before players declare. Even if he's a late 2nd, isn't there a better prospect available? _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Do you have a list of 2nds? A bunch of guys that I've looked at for 3 and D purposes, barely look like they have NBA athleticism and regardless of what the numbers say, it matters to me at the next level, especially when they're just playing NCAA comp in the meantime.
I mean, if it's a Matt Thomas type, I'd try the UFA route. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
