How high would a better version of Khris Middleton go in this draft?

I think he goes late lottery, may sneak into the top 10, but I think there is a bigger chance of him slipping past the lottery than he does of sneaking into the top 10.

Your truth is subject to interpretation on that video. It's different from what I think.

ok, I give up...your claim was "Trae got by Jevon Carter repeatedly"....

And, he did. You define it differently apparently from myself and CZ.

I wish frequent visitors to this thread would take the time to watch and evaluate....then call this bs claim....but we both know that is highly unlikely to happen

I hope the Cavs slip a bit more so our pick is around 20.
If so, I would pray that that Robinson kid is still available.
He and Zubac would make for a great center combo for years to come.

Looks very impressive. I'm especially impressed with how fluidly he gets up and down the floor at his size.

Does he show any small man skills - handle a little, shoot it, playmake some?

Handle? No.
Shoot it? No.
Playmake? .6:1 A/TO ratio, is basically batting the average for a Clint Capela archetype.

Guess not.

haha

The bigs that have any kind of wing skill whether it's range, handle, or both are essentially in the lottery. Any prospective big past that is a Capela archetype for the most part.

That being said, I need to catch up on Killian Tillie from Gonzaga.

Tillie shooting is legitimately incredible. He’s an Nba player for sure.

I'm not trying to crap on your dude.

I shouldn't bother this much with a prospect I don't even care that much about.

Full game.

6:32 - I mean, 17:08 game clock, open situation. Trae breaks him down on the hezzy, Carter foul.
17:37 - 12:35 game clock, open floor situation. Goes downhill on him.
22:47 - 9:15 game clock, gets by Carter, floater miss
37:32 - 2:19 game clock, gets by Carter, Carter strips.

This is just the first half. That's enough for me.

The truth is, Carter did a great job with off-ball defensive positioning. Oklahoma didn't even bother trying to take risky passes because Carter was shielding them. He's a wide dude. Multiple possessions, Trae didn't get touches.

Also, not enough credit goes to WV. They switched the entire 1st half. Trae saw 3 different defenders, all basically with the same amount of time facing Trae. Trae faced doubles at halfcourt, and even early doubles full-court.

Carter had issues with Trae's hesitation dribble. So, leading back to why I'm not high on Carter as a prospect, now I've got a 6'3" wingspan dude that's a physical defensive player. He's great at stripping the basketball. I just think it's only a matter of time before someone like Trae uses a certain technique or gets stronger to make those strips less prevalent.

So sure, Carter contested Trae's shots, and Trae missed. But hell, they're horrid shots in the first place, something Trae has been known for since high school, hence wasn't as highly recruited.

Poor shot selection. Oklahoma is the perfect place for him because he can be their high level passing Lou Williams. That wouldn't work at another big time school.

I'm annoyed I didn't watch more Gonzaga earlier this year. Got way too caught up watching Villanova early.

Interesting.

Wonder if he planned on coming back all along, or if he realized people were starting to forget about him with the top of this draft class looking so good.

there was some report out last week that claimed several NBA GM's were saying it was in his best interest to play this season if healthy

I don't expect Brunson's interior shooting to translate next level.

I have asked a couple times in this thread, never got a response...how does Konate fit in the NBA? He is a 6'8"/6'9" Center with long arms....but is the best skilled rim protector in the country. I cannot see him playing any #4 in the NBA...right now he appears pretty position locked as a #5...

Ponds is playing as a decoy right now...looks schematic to go away from him based on how keyed in to his movements Xavier is. they're trapping him on every pnr and denying him off ball. went aggressively at his defender in transition when he had space, split a double on pnr right after. like what i'm seeing from him. drive and kick for open 3s/jumpers that teammates are missing. he's done his job by pulling defenders to him, it's on his teammates to make something happen

then St. Johns is probably screwed

St. Johns needs to get better.....like it would be good for college basketball. It is one of the few programs...if not really the only one that gets NYC excited about college basketball.

Collin Sexton with the buzzer beater to give Alabama the win over Texas A&M....and probably gets Alabama into the tournament!

Sexton looked good with 27/3/5...

There is no question that Sexton has a competitive edge that sets him apart. That mental makeup gives him a pretty decent floor for success in the NBA. Tone setter.

agree...showed some mental toughness there....a few seconds earlier TJ Starks draining that 3 over him for what looked like would give A&M the win.
