he's straight up fat right now. i can see a case where he struggles with his conditioning/weight after falling in love with american food lol

The memories from those performances may be fading, replaced by the not-quite-as-impressive version of Doncic we've seen the past four months in which he has struggled with his jump shot, gotten noticeably heavier and had a more difficult time creating quality shots for himself and others with his just-decent first step.

We've talked about the ridiculous number of games Doncic has played over the past 18 months -- the equivalent of almost two full NBA seasons in that span, handling the ball and being asked to create a huge amount of offense for his team every time out, and I really think that has caught up with him. He looked more athletic to me in September. European basketball is great in many areas, but making sure players are on the right diet and strength and conditioning program is not one of them. Plus, Doncic's affinity for junk food and the Madrid nightlife aren't a great combination here.

Trust me this kid is no where near ready to contribute. I am from Dayton Ohio and I'm a big Dayton flyer fan have been since the early 80's this kid is not ready.May take 3 to 4 years he's that raw.

I don't think he's that polished. But he's only 19 and has plenty of time to refine his game...

With all this notice at the combine, he probably goes lottery.
If not picked by late teens, sure would like to move up to get him if he stays in the draft.
What gets us up to maybe 16-19?
Problem is we have to give up picks to unload Deng. Dang

Does he?
Seems like a shooter.
And able to get by college defenders. I'm having doubts he can get by NBA wings.
Do you think he can?

That's what I'm referring to: star potential.
Like you said, I don't consider them stars either.
Klay is a shooter that's on the edge, but he plays defense.

Yes, he's only 19 years old. I assume his handle and footwork will continue to improve along with his strength. The threat of his jumper opens everything up for him, so he needs to be a great NBA shooter as a foundation. I think he'll definitely get past NBA wings if they have to respect his three, but the bigger issue is whether he has the motor and the dog in him to be a star.

But he's a more exciting shooting prospect than lottery picks Jamal Murray, Buddy Hield, Luke Kennard, and even arguably Malik Monk.

I think Melvin Frazier has moved to the top of my board amongst guys who might be available at #25.

Josh Howard at 25 is noice! I didn’t think we had a chance at Frazier at 25

But I think De’Anthony Melton has the chance to be special

With an athlete like him, I wanna see if he has motor and ball-handling ability, and he checks both boxes. He has a hitch in his shot and can sometimes release on the way down, but he's not starting from scratch there either. He was fantastic in his game at the combine too.

IDK, I think there's a lot there.

This is a smooth between-the-legs crossover to split the hedging big, into a crafty finish, especially for a guy who's the type of athlete that he is. He looks like Donovan Mitchell here.

I also worry about the hitch in his shot and release point. I don’t really have any context on how his shot has evolved though from freshman to junior year and I’m worried that the jump from 26.4% to 38.5% 3pt shooting could be a bit of a fluke as his attempts actually decreased from the year before.

Oh I'm really high on his ballhandling... yep

Imagine him getting an advance pass in transition , could be a terror attacking there

And his measurables are off the damn charts , combined w his quickness and twitch
8'9 7'2 is legit PF length

If his jumper didn't have a hitch he'd be lotto for me

I'm not totally sure, but he's really young so there's time to develop. His potential hinges on it. I do think he has starter potential. He's shown some craftiness but not on an elite or really close to elite level. He doesn't have anything really close to what those clips GT is posting of Frazier shows. But pair that level of shooting with IQ and competitiveness on defense (will probably struggle as a rookie) & I really feel there's legit potential. Drafting another starter potential player with a late pick sounds fine to me.

I really need to revisit Okogie & Frazier.

Reading more draft gossip. Celtics might like DiVincenzo if he's still on the board. Looks like he went out to lunch with Ainge after his workout. Disgusting
