Tiger with Rory final pairing. Really want to see Tiger win. I'll be watching this over the NFL! (and I love the NFL)

I will be flipping back and forth....but if Tiger has the lead on the back 9, golf will become the primary thing I am watching.

Bless the invention of split screen. I'll have the NFL on one side, Tiger on the other. Horrors or horrors, I have NFL Sunday Ticket so the NFL side will be in constant flux. Some good games on tomorrow. LINK Golf may be over when the Rams play the Chargers.

it is referred to as the Volume Screen or Volume Game. Multiple screens, but the most important gets the primary volume.

On my TV it's labeled PIP (Picture In Picture)

Rory has had a terrible front 9....+4 on the day to fall 8 shots off the lead. Tiger takes a 5 stroke lead to the back 9 @ -13....kind of wish it was closer.

If Rose pars the 18 --> Tiger wins the Fedex cup

Rose with a monster drive on the par 5 18th (361 yds)

Justin Rose on the green in 2. Should get a birdie

Only thing stopping him is injuries which we can't predict.

His will and love for this game is too great.

Dude made it back from fushion back surgery.

This is one driven man. That's why people root for him. He has the most talent but he also has the most drive as well.

Question - is it easier to win in a 30 man field or a 100+ man field?

People would say well this is the top 30 in the game. However, in a 100+ man field, you'll also have the top 30 as well.

So, I think this tournament was easier to win than other tournaments with a full field.

I think in a full field, someone always comes out of nowhere to shoot a low score.

The 100+ field is harder by far. As you said, it already includes the top 30 but 31-100 can all potentially go off and have a career showing.

Yeah, if you say by far, then that really diminishes this win. Doesn't seem like it, seems like they view this win as being a major accomplishment because it features the top 30 this year.

Well maybe by far may be an exaggeration but it's hard to quantify to a specific degree how much harder. Still happy Tiger won. No one in my family, including me, gives a flying (bleep) about golf yet he's the one guy we'll stop what we're doing to watch.

Definitely harder to win with a larger field, but that does not diminish his win one bit. You have to earn your way to the Tour Championship, and then he beat all of those that did just that.

No one moves the needle in sports like Tiger Woods. No one. He had a frickin' army behind him on that 18th hole. What a spectacle.

If Rory doesn't choke and go +4 he wins it. Rory only had to go +2 for Tiger to be the Fedex Cup champion.

Such a staunch supporter! Even in a golf thread! Jk man, but that crowd... y’all think it messed with the other players psyche?

Not sure if you can get your full trunk torque for a swing after spinal fusion, even when fully rehabilitated. Big up to Tiger for the win

If he never has the back issues, and is healthy, he has long surpassed Snead's 82 wins and has passed Nicklaus in majors. He rewrites the record books to a point where they appear beyond reach for several generations, until the next prodigy fulfills their potential.

The problem is it simply does not work that way.....we can't just take away the back injuries, and assume everything else in life is as it currently appears. It is not a stretch to consider the back injuries also served as an interruption to a very fast and somewhat reckless personal life he was living, and maybe if that had not slowed, bigger problems were on the horizon.

honestly, how could it not....it was really an amazing thing to watch. In a way, I think Rory just became a spectator like everyone else.

I thought early on it was part reason Rory Mcilroy's game went south. I'd like to know how the matches viewer rating jumped. Bet it was off the charts. I've never witnessed a comeback interest like this.
