Quote:
"No," James told reporters when asked if the loss of Game 3 to the Warriors in the Finals still haunts him. "No. I mean, listen. I've lost five Finals. What are you going to do about it? No.

"What's going to stick with me is seeing my daughter smile, seeing my kids graduate high school, college. Hopefully my daughter will go off and meet the man of her dreams. That's what's going to stick with me. I keep telling you all, these games and wins and losses, yeah, I love it, but it's not the be all and end all for me."

He realizes his championship days are over, so he's making excuses. Kobe and MJ never gave up hope.

Maybe that'll change if he signs with the Lakers and win another NBA Championship in his new hometown and with his family watching at Staples. He'll have the best of both words.

That's the nature of NBA press conferences. Reporters ask stupid questions hoping to get a sound bite. Players, who are required to be there, yammer on and often say stupid things because they feel they have to say something. Pops is the only one who doesn't play the game, but his own game gets annoying.

I wouldn't bother following pro sports if the top players in history had the same attitude.

Anyone remember all of these anti-Lebron posts here a few years ago of people here saying Lebron would fall off in this 30s due to his success being most due to athleticism? Dude is still a beast.

wait, so winning is not the most important thing to him any longer? How does he feel about "moral victories"? I think we lead the leave in those.

I love how LeBron deflects it to something that has absolutely nothing to do with what he's being questioned about.

Reporter: "So you know game 3 where Durant his the 3 over you and ultimately lead the Warriors back in your house and essentially sealed the Championship for the Warriors? Do you ever look back on that and think what you could have done differently?"

LeBron: "I'M A GREAT FATHER!"

Three NBA championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, two Olympic gold medals, an NBA scoring title, and the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He's done it all in basketball. Rings probably mean something, just not as much. After 15 years his enthusiasm has waned.

He's young the competitive juices are still flowing. I guess it's time to move on. Business, commentator, team ownership, TV, he currently has a few shows.

This is after he does his stint with the Lakers.
