our best option next season is to tank. We are at this point looking likely to strike out on big name FAs. I'd rather tank than waste our cap on crap.

Well that's a good question. I'm not too familiar with the 2019 draft class. Maybe Mike can help us out with how good the prospects are looking?

Nah. This team sucks, sure, and we may miss out on FA's. But Zo, Kuz, and - to a lesser extent - BI have not been infected by years of tanking. No reason to put them in such a toxic environment, to literally train them to become professional losers. We need to try to win every game. Since we are bad, we likely won't make the playoffs, meaning we're in the lottery anyway. Maybe we get lucky, maybe we don't - but clearly our FO knows how to draft regardless.

Let them do what they do and the team can focus on building a winning culture

I do think we will tank one more year. I hope they don't blow our cap money on players not worth it.

Forget tanking, the roster needs to be better. Rookies take a lot of
time to develop for the most part. So tanking will continue to spiral
us down for years.

We have a very poor team. And our future talent is of fraile build; lots of
work needed.

All our eggs are with the FO making something happen in the off season.

I don't know about tanking, but we should at least prepare for losing a lot. Less heartbreak that way.

Did anyone catch the Pelinka interview? He said the goal is to win... there is no tanking next year no matter what you want to believe.

The nice thing is that I believe we only need to fall in the bottom 6 to have the best possible shot at a number 1 pick. So a few wins here and there won't be as agonizing as in tanking years past.

Besides which we’re already losing. It’s hilarious to talk about “we need to tank“ when clearly we don’t need to tank because we are already losing.

I missed it, but I'm guessing any game without Lonzo is a stinker.

Not Mike, but Zion Williamson, Bol Bol, and RJ Barrett are the interesting prospects next year early on.

Team will suck till our kids come into their own.

No free agent is coming to rescue us. We need to do this ourselves.

I had hoped that we would see another 9 win gain from last season. This team might actually be worse. Thanks spoiled Buss kids.

Well, when Hart is your highest drafted guard you'll have issues.

If you’re referring to Zion then sure, why not.

That was the original plan, I believe.

Signing some big name FAs will be a blessing and a curse. We'll win more games, not be good enough to win it all, but be good enough to dilute the pick.
