Lionel are you confident that a deal will be done just as you were confident with Phil signing with the Lakers? or do you have a different approach at this time? |

Lionel two questions for you.
First, would you have traded bynum for Artest?
Second, if you could make a realistic trade as the GM, what would you do?(knowing who is available and who is not) |

Along the same lines...
Is it me, or is Kobe just gliding along. At no point did I observe any real urgency on his part last night. He seemed very content with just playing within the offense and distributing the ball.
It was as though he was just passing time, until... |

Lionel, do you know where Osama is hiding out? Did Saddam really have weapons of mass destruction? _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

you guys are still thinking about trades. Just face it, this is the team we're gonna be looking at for at least the next year and a half. Deal with it, or leave it. |

So uhm, for all you in the "know," is the deal done and awaiting confirmation or the right time, or is it still a work in progress?
If this supposed trade does go through, will it impact the 2007/08 plan, or was the 2007/08 plan a ruse the whole time? _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

No matter how bad things were, if I were being paid $10 million per year for three years, I also wouldn't resign. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

No kidding. At 10 million per year, you'd have to fire me. It's 10 freaking million...A YEAR! |

Yeah, but my guess is you aren't as loaded as Phil already is. True, $10 mil a year is nothing to sneeze at even if you are loaded - but if you're Phil's age and already have a ton of dollars, do you want to risk damaging your rep as one of the best coaches ever or relax by the pool with your former playboy model girlfriend? |

if we traded Lamar for Rashad lewis we would set the reconrd for most 3 point attempts by 2 players in NBA history. Kobe takes more 3 pointers then ray allen. Rashad is a 3 point gunner
We would build 15 point leads, and lose them in 2 minutes. |

That was kobe's best shot at winning without shaq immedietely. Trading bynum for artest and having Artest kobe and Lamar. Bynum is not closer to being ready. I can not see him getting big minuets under phil jackson until maybe the 3rd yr. That's 3 wasted yrs out of kobe's prime.
Lamar is currently better then bynum. Will be better then bynum for the next 4 yrs. Kobe is slowing slowing down as a player,he wont be at a high level in 4 yrs. Should have built for now and traded bynum for artest. |

And in 3 years Bynum could be the anchor inside and a real low post Center.
Even a 15/10 Center is more valuable than a SF like Artest. No matter how good that SF is on defense - The Center has more impact on the game defensively and offensively.
Very easy to aquire 3's in the league. Caron Butler is a 17/6 starting SF and we had him last season. Not hard at all to aquire players at that position.
Finally - Artest isn't Pippen. Kobe isn't Jordan and Lamar isn't a a HOF.
Get over it. |

The Press Enterprise is talking to the wrong person. It should talk to Phil Jackson and the statement would be "Phil Jackson does not expect to make a trade" |

No one's gonna listen to what you have to say wolf, your opinion is no different then any other person.
and we don't know how Bynum will turn out he very well can become a bust. |
