hahaha, though that as well.
he fits the team well: defense and athleticism.

Yea.
The pace seemed to pick up when he came in.
Not sure if it's just perception or if it actually did.

He's earned another look because of his effort.

He was a positive influence on the court today. Looked like a real PG.

Btw: we're not hyping gp.
It's just that Alex and Ennis are just that bad.

Heck time to part w/Ennis. Never understood why Ennis was brought back. I’ve watched Payton since Oregon St., kid is tough nose. Hope he sticks.

Scrappy and hard-nosed player. Something that this team is sorely in need of.

GPII and Josh Hart together could disrupt a lot of offenses; especially second units.

Liked what we saw from this kid, and I think he deserves more looks over guys like Ennis/Caruso, but we need to sign Ramon Sessions stat. Former Laker and an actual NBA player.

I've heard that he prefers "the Baby Glove."

Does he really?
Read it some where when he was in college.

But he's also called "the Thief"
Quote:
Mom knows best, said Gary Payton II, so as Monique Payton strutted the basement hallway of Gill Coliseum Sunday afternoon telling everyone within ear shot, “We’re calling him ‘The Thief,’ O.K.?” in reference to her son’s 17-point, five-steal, four-assist night, Payton II just nodded along. “We’re gonna roll with that,” he said.

Even though this was a small sample size I hope GPII can sustain his intensity level. There are a lot of doubters (rightfully so) out there. Time will tell.

I kid you not but he needs to take the Ronnie price road to stay in the nba. Be super intense and hustle.

I thought he looked good out there tonight. Only Payton and Hart were a net positive tonight, with Payton being a +11. That helped the Lakers lose by single digits when they were trailing by 20.

He has flaws as a player, which are well known. But I thought he played well. Caruso has been a disaster as a pro. Give GP a shot.
