You know when you inexplicably want a player on your team despite there being no real evidence of them actually being any good? Well in the 2016 draft there were three for me. Gary Payton II, Diamond Stone and Wade Baldwin IV.

Ironically they all basically had the same end result in the league.

So you're saying you're ready to take Jesse & Ryan's jobs in the scouting department huh? 😜 Just Kidding. Thanks for admitting. While you're at it, can your brighten our Monday with some more swings and misses? Like, I personally thought Jordan Bell would be great at #27. Little did I know there was Baby Melo hiding in the draft somewhere.

There was PLENTY of fools gold in that draft for me:

Rashad Vaughn.

Kelly Oubre Jr (Though he might prove me wrong)

Zhou Qi.

I really thought Zhou Qi was gonna be amazing.

Probably the only game Lakers scouts have seen him play..

The FO is not stupid, lol. However, Magic probably owes
The Glove a favor...

I've heard Gary refer to his son as a knuckle head on the starting lineup show.

I hope GPII proves to be a viable player for the Lakers organization at either level (NBA or G-League).

This guy is probably not even as good as Caruso, so I'm not even sure why they think they need his 2ppg...

I thought the same thing but didn't want to be too negative

However I'm going to trust our scouts and hope that a change of scenery could rejuvenate GPII's career. It's really no big deal. If it doesn't workout we don't really lose anything.

If he can play defense, he'll get minutes. Remember, we lead the league in pace, paint points, 2nd in rebounds, 6th in steals, 11th in blocks and 2nd in fast break points...all of this starts from defense.

We’re trying different type of backup PG:
Tennis: shooting
Caruso: facilitator
GP II: athletic, defense

Sessions would require a lot more money than a two-way contract. js

Do you think that Sessions would sign a 2 way deal?

No doubt. Just joking, this is a very low risk move

I'm just looking for him to play a David Nwaba role.
Play solid defense, make great cuts and give us some highlight dunks.
His passing seems decent.

Can he shoot a better % than Kris Dunn? TBD...

Aaron Goodwin, who also reps Lillard and Derozan. Other than, no big NBA player. So it's not about buying favors with an agent.

You're right about that but remember, we waived Bogut so we have a regular roster spot open still.

You're hoping he becomes Ruben Patterson.

Mike, you're our resident draft and scouting insider here.

What are the actual chances of this in your opinion?

He must be pretty popular. He is the 2nd top trending topic on twitter right now behind MLKDay.

Yup. That's what i meant. I know hes not taking a two-way deal. The fact they picked up gp makes me think they won't go after sessions however. I think they are keeping roster spot open in order to take in a two for one deal. Such as Elfrid Payton and Mario for Clarkson.
