Woman refused to take her feet off of a seat. Even though no one was inconvenienced putting your feet on a seat is against Metro regulation. You're only allowed to occupy one set. Obey their rules.

I ride the Metro. I see people eating, smoking, putting feet on seats, it annoys me. Trash accumulates, smoking bother people, like me, with COPD, feet on seats dirties seat. I thought the Sargent showed restraint.

I think she should have listened to him and just taken her feet off of the seat. Why fight about something that you know you're not supposed to do in the first place?

I also think that the officer was more upset that she wouldn't obey him than he was about her feet actually being up on the seat.

So in conclusion, I think they're both stupid and petty.

Watching the 11:00 news. Mother of teenager says they're going to hire a lawyer. The teenager was sited and released. The woman who spit on the officer is still in jail, hasn't posted bond.

I've rode the train less and less over the years because the amount of loud, obnoxious people doing stupid stuff, playing loud music, disregarding rules and just generally not having a lick of common courtesy. After a while it had been much too irritating and, honestly, depressing to see.

I still try and ride from time to time but have been dreading it each time.

Instead of hiring a lawyer, that girls parents should look at themselves and ask why they never bothered to teach their child basic manners, respect for authority, respect for self and the importance of following basic rules in public.

And what the hell was up with that big woman? If you're going to pick a cause to be a hero, you vouch for THAT? lol hope they keep her locked up for a good amount of time so she can re-evaluate her decisions.

She thought she did not have to obey the rules.

She thought she did not have to obey authority.

She thinks she is gonna get a lawyer to help her.

If you're going to go to the mat trying to take a stand against a cop on a "social" issue, refusing to take your feet off the seat on a train for 20 seconds while waiting for the cop to move on to the car is absolutely the most asinine way to do so.

She deserved to get taken of the train. She'd also deserves to be forbidden from riding the train until she gets her self-entitled head out her immature ass.

Should have smacked some of that entitlement out of her with a quick backhand.

This reminds me about a recent trip to Disneyland I took with the fam. We were boarding the tram to get into the park and apparently you aren't allowed to board without folding up any strollers. Well, this family decided they didn't have to follow the rules and delayed us about 10 minutes because the Dad refused to fold his kids stroller up. The Mom started recording the whole ordeal and they began to claim that they were being targeted because of their race. (They were Indian or something, Mom had a wrap on her head)

Eventually they got off the tram and I guess waited for the next one.

The first hour or two in the park I had my eyes peeled for the family so I could "accidentally" catch the Dad with an inadvertent elbow. But, no luck.
(Yea, I'm petty and vindictive like that) LOL
