Coming here to discuss this. The fan should not be on the court, should not be that close to Westbrook. Russ was completely in the right to shove him, get him out of the way. Security failed on that one.
Fans can be super crazy _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying...'I will try again tomorrow.'
Players should be protected. WB had a right to get him out of his space. Thankfully no other player got involved in a fracas with fans. NBA dodged a bullet here.
That being said, we know WB is a hot headed steroid-rage induced guy sometimes. But I don't think he's a malicious jerk or anything.

This is just a horrendous job done by the security team. I think the league should fine them. If not, they need to make sure an example is made of this dude. That's potentially dangerous stuff.
Talking excrement is a part of fandom. Stepping on the court isn't and this chump got in a player's path and barked in his face. This dude is luck he didn't get dropped. _________________ We back.

If that had been Ron Artest or even Jermaine O’Neal, there’s a good chance he would have been. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

nothing should happen to RW.
If anything, the fan should be kicked out of the building and not allowed back in. _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain
Lonzo woulda straight knocked that fan out, right cross to the jaw, and stand over his unconscious body and scream "Don't you EVER disrespect ME! EVER!" just as security is pulling him away.
oh wait....
nah Lonzo would just turn around and walk the other direction oblivious.
I didn't think they would considering Westbrook didn't leave the court/ go into the stands like Antonio Davis(I think it was him) did years ago when someone was harrassing his family.
The fan came onto him and compromised the safety of their players in the process. The NBA is responsible if anything bad happened.
That's why they usually have security guards/cops right by the court(at least at Pacers home games they do)
