Not that I wish injury to anyone, but Charlotte's a two-week-ankle-sprain-to-Kemba away from bottoming out. The numbers when he's off the floor are staggering. But yeah, the 3rd easiest schedule in the NBA, playing a bunch of tanking teams... but I'm pretending the Lakers and Hornets are fighting for homecourt advantage in a fantasy playoff matchup and the Lakers are only two games behind in the win column.
Sounds better than fighting for the 11th lottery slot rather than 10th |

I'm fine with giving Philly the 10th pick. Just would have been nice to NOT give them a top 10 pick. Just saying it to myself feels better. |

at some point three or four teams will realise that they are losing the train of play off and will start tanking hard, teams like jazz, pistons, hornets , we need to be close |

Sa-tank-day 2/24 Games
Celts @ Knicks The only time I will root for Boston is when they play against New York or Charlotte this season.
Bulls @ Wolves Bulls are probably better than the tankers beneath them and are still one Kris Dunn/Lavine hot streak away from catching LA. I'll breathe a deeper sigh of relief once they fall six wins behind The Lakeshow (currently only four)
Grizzlies, Mavs and Suns also playing but they're six games behind and not any real threat to overtake us.
PAUL GEORGE ROOTING INTEREST BONUS Go Warriors. Shut up these hot takers about the Thunder having the best chance to knock you out. Blow them out and put Brodie & Melo in their place |

Perfect day for the tank. Everyone that was supposed to lose, did, and the Thunder got wiped out.
Won't be long before Magic Numbers start to come into play and the Lakers can start clinching lottery spots, just to make mathematically sure we f*** over Boston & Philly.
Even the Pistons are within earshot now, 3 wins back
*EDIT: lmao well whattaya know, the Hornets & Pistons play each other tomorrow! |

Pistons @ Hornets today. Win/Win for us but my preference is for the Hornets to win. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Yeah we need to root for the Pistons. But they have lost 4 of the last 5 with Fake Griffin. If Hornets lose they will have the same amount of losses as us. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Pistons are a joke. Down by 25 points. That was a great trade by the Clippers dumping Griffin. I hope we pass them in the standings. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

The way the Hornets have been playing lately they could contend for the 8th spot. Shame on the Pistons though. This trade is the only way they could improve and sell tickets. Im sure they will make the playoffs next year with a full training camp but the Clippers get a lottery pick this year |

Passing the Pistons would be even better than passing Charlotte.
I’ve got nothing against Charlotte, but have hated the Pistons since the Bad Boys days, and with fake tough guy Blake there now, he fits in perfectly with their long history of overhyped losers. |

The only other "tank" games today are our picks owed from other teams... go Spurs (against Cavs) and Rockets (against Nuggets and their 2nd rounder, currently 48th) |

This year's tankathon is insane. Six teams with the same amount of wins of 18. Then BRK with 19 and CHI with 20. |

The tankathon this year is intense, the bottom 9 teams in the league are on a combined 45 game lose streak. So glad we're not apart of it. |

One last tankathon before draft lottery reform. |

I'm a happy camper as long as our pick is safely away from the Celtics. But giving the Sixers a non-Top 10 pick would be icing on the cake. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

along with a low 20s pick from the Cavs. It's currently 25th but so many teams are close to them. If Lebron had to sit out a few games, they could drop quickly in the standings. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

I went through the schedules of both Detroit and Charlotte and I have them ending the season 38-44. Can we go 13-10 the rest of the way to tie them? I think so. |

"The Mother of All Tank Nights" Monday 2/26
This is incredible. There are five (5!!) games at 4:30 L.A time with tank implications.
Bulls @ Nets Kinda rooting for Brooklyn here. If they could be #10 and Lakers #11 or better, that screws Cleveland and Philly.
Grizzle @ Boston Another game where I'm forced to root for Boston, but the Bears are 7 games behind the Lakers at this point, I'd feel more comfortable if they were 10 or so. Tyreke will win games on his own.
Lakers @ Hawks Ok we already lost to Orlando, let's make that the last time we lose to a bottom feeder on the road. No more Ilyasova, so let's hope Schroeder goes 1-10 and LA East home court advantage carries the Lakers.
Pistons @ Raptors, Warriors @ Knicks About as guaranteed losses as you're going to get his season.
Other random tankers include the Kings, Magic, Suns, and Mavs but the Lakers are comfortably past those dumpster fires. |
