Good lord. 500k for PG13; 50k for Giannis?
Lakers won't be able to skirt this line. 2 strikes in 1 year already. |

This will put more scrutiny on the Lakers this upcoming FA.
Busted twice already. Amateur moves. |

The Lakers have been fined $50,000 for violating the tampering rule regarding a recent comment by Magic Johnson about Giannis. Targeting 2021 free agency already. |
Ah, nice.

I believe during an interview Magic said Giannis is destined to win a championship one day. But don't quote me |

Because he said he would lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a title? He's not even recruiting him. This League... |

it can't be this right? |
Most likely.
I think it's overblown.
But I dont think it's Magic's comment per se, but the fact that those comments were delivered to Giannis and he responded with:
Quote: | "The craziest thing is that I believe that," Antetokounmpo told ESPN of winning a championship in Milwaukee. "But it's even more believable when other guys see that, like Magic. Especially Magic seeing that, that's big. Because it's almost like, "OK, he sees that." So I'm on the right path, I've got to to do what I'm doing." |
Quote: | "It's big, man," Antetokounmpo said. "A compliment like that coming from Magic, that's huge. We grew up watching Magic, I personally grew up watching Magic making those passes, all that stuff. Just trying to be Magic. There was a stage when I was younger that I was trying to be Magic, I was trying to smile when I was playing, make all those plays. But a compliment like that from Magic, it's big. But for me, I just got to stay focused, keep working on my game and try to get better." |
Quote: | "I would love to have a talk with him and see the way he thinks about the game," Antetokounmpo said. "And I know he's a guy that's willing to do that with young guys in the league. I definitely would love to sit down and talk with him. Just have a conversation and see how he views the game and what he thinks." |

50 stacks? Chump change. Plant that seed, Magic. Plant it gently with your pinky. _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL |

It's pretty simple though. High level execs cannot talk about other team's players who are under contract.
The devil is in these details (even if stupid). If that's the case, does he grasp the nuances of the salary cap like Morey or see strategic moves like Ainge?
Magic we need you sir! Tighten it up. |

See how players react to an all time great in Magic?
How would they act towards a Jim Buss?
Magic may not know the ins and outs of the cap, but they have their capologist for that. Magic gets the face time, he and Rob close the deal. |
