At least it won't be at the expense of my Colts

Colts had the misfortune of running to a buzz saw, I don't like juggernaut, that would imply they're unstoppable. If they get by the Pats, juggernaut is more applicable. Then I go back to what juggernaut implies and shed it. I want the Rams to stop them. Baby Girl, I want to see Chiefs vs Rams in Super Bowl LIII. Hope the Colts have a good year next season. They're not on the Rams schedule. I believe they play the Chargers. Good luck.

The game against the Rams should be a great one. The loss of Sheldon Rankins could be huge for the Saints, as it may hurt their run defense. Of course, the Rams' pass offense hasn't quite looked the same since losing Cooper Kupp. Injuries are a part of the game, and both teams still have what it takes to win it all imo.

I had a Saints-Chiefs Super Bowl before the playoffs started. Might as well stick with it. New England has been much worse on the road this season than usual, so perhaps that will continue. As for the NFC, I think that if the Saints win, Marcus Peters' suckiness this season will be the difference. If the Rams win, perhaps it will be the Rankins injury that tips the scales, and perhaps it will allow the Rams to control the line of scrimmage and run, run, run.

and that is the issue....go to the NFL and get drafted in the 1st Round....guaranteed millions and he is in the league next season. Take the baseball route, and he is riding buses and staying at economy hotels for at least 2-4 years hoping to not get injured and get a call up.....with literally none of it within his control.

He’d get a load of money upfront from the A’s, too. I guess this makes sense if it’s what he wants to do, but I’d pick the option that didn’t involve getting drilled by pass rushers.

I imagine it is a tough decision if you believe you can succeed at either one. I know I always loved basketball a little more than football, but when I moved to FL as a Junior in high school, I quickly realized I may be able to have some level of success at football, but I was going to be lucky to get on the basketball court for material time at my new school.....so the decision was kind of made for me, therefore there was really no reason for regrets. He literally can choose either one....and the fact that he may regret his choice is real.

I have.....

Saints over Rams

&

Chiefs over Patriots

but I do not feel the least bit confident in either pick....still have no idea how the Saints slow down the Rams running the ball, and the Patriots looked elite this past weekend.

They did, but they were at home, and I think much of that had to do with how ill-prepared the Chargers were on defense, and, even worse, the complete inability of the coaching staff to make in-game adjustments to what was clearly not working. That was as easy of a half of football for one team offensively as I've seen in quite some time.

What's awesome is the storylines and narratives naturally write themselves for these games... Old guard vs The future... etc...

I need one road team to win to continue the Huskers in the Superbowl streak. It's been a nice 25 year run, now it's dependent on Suh with the Rams or Burkhead with the Pats.

.

A couple of 18 play drives should slow the Rams down.

man you sound awful confident for a guy whose team was likely an Alshon Jeffery drop away from the offseason.

No worries, Payton is a winner, Brees is a winner. I think it will come down to Goff having to win it for the Rams. If he does, props to him.

Got Saints and Chiefs but a Saints-Patriot matchup would be interesting, 80+ years playing QB.

"Peter, Peter, Peter"....the Saints returner screams to let his guys know to get away from incoming punt. It has been the universal call since I was a little kid to get away from live ball. I would love to know how and when it started....I mean it had to be some dude named Peter that kept getting in the way and hitting the live ball on punts?

I can't believe your coach never explained it. "Peter" is an old school term for "Penis", kinda like "Johnson". You yell Peter Peter Peter to alert the guys that it's something they don't want to touch in a million years. Some teams have gotten sucked up into the current PC climate and have started to use another term so that something so silly doesn't end up offending folks who hadn't ginned up a reason to be offended with it over the past 70 years.
