I've done comments on the players I've done in my mocks before, so I won't do that again. Instead, as we have arrived on the day of the draft, here is my projected order of the 1st Round, after the Adam Schefter bomb this morning that other GM's in the NFL think that the Browns will be taking Baker Mayfield #1 overall:

1. Browns Baker Mayfield
2. Giants Saquon Barkley
3. Jets Sam Darnold
4. Browns Bradley Chubb
5. Broncos Quenton Nelson
6. Bills Josh Allen (trade up)
7. Bucs Derwin James
8. Bears Tremaine Edmunds
9. 49ers Roquan Smith
10. Cardinals Josh Rosen (trade up)
11. Packers Denzel Ward (trade up)
12. Colts Minkah Fitzpatrick (trade down)
13. Ravens Lamar Jackson (trade up)
14. Dolphins Rashaan Evans (trade down)
15. Raiders Mike McGlinchey (trade down)
16. Redskins Vita Vea (trade down)
17. Chargers Taven Bryan
18. Patriots Harold Landry (trade up)
19. Cowboys Leighton Vander Esch
20. Lions Marcus Davenport
21. Bengals Frank Ragnow
22. Bills Will Hernandez
23. Patriots Kolton Miller
24. Panthers Jaire Alexander
25. Titans Isaiah Wynn
26. Falcons Da'Ron Payne
27. Saints Calvin Ridley
28. Steelers Joshua Jackson
29. Jaguars Mike Hughes
30. Vikings James Daniels
31. Seahawks Justin Reid (trade down)
32. Bucs Derrius Guice (trade up)

2nd Rounders that have best chance to go in the 1st:
Billy Price, DJ Moore, Courtland Sutton, Connor Williams, Hayden Hurst, Mike Gesicki, Dallas Goedert, Mason Rudolph, Ronnie Harrison

^^^You really buying Baker goes #1? If so, I think the Giants go Darnold.

Yes, I think it's Mayfield. And I don't think the Giants are taking a QB. I just don't think the tea leaves and their moves suggest it. (I think they should, to be clear, but I don't believe that they are going to do so.) I guess I could buy that they prefer Chubb to Barkley, but it usually isn't Dave Gettleman's MO to talk up a guy to throw people off. He's also never traded down in his life. All this said, if Denver coveted Darnold, and was willing to make a big offer to move up from #5, they should strongly consider it, because it would guarantee the Giants one of Barkley or Chubb at 5. What if Denver offered 5, 40 (their 2nd rounder), 99 (a 3rd round comp pick), and a 2019 2nd?

EDIT: As of 1:30 PST, Mayfield is -400 on betting sites to be the #1 overall pick. Darnold was -220 last night and then the sites abruptly took it off the board. So you knew something was up. I just figured maybe Allen was making a late move. But it appears that it's Mayfield. If it does end up being Darnold after all of this, it's going to have made for great television lol.

Mayfield or Darnold? Is Denver plotting a move up to #2 if Mayfield is available? Oh, the intrigue!

Barkley to the Giants. Gettleman is as easy to read as a book. 2-for-2.

First major upset! Ward to the Browns at 4, wow. You could argue that the Browns reached at both 1 and 4. But Ward's really good, so if he ends up a really good corner, they won't care, I'm guessing.

OK now here's where it gets interesting. Do the Colts move down, and does a team come up for Rosen or Allen? Do the Colts just stand pat and take Quenton Nelson or Roquan Smith? If they do trade back with the Bills, I'll guess that the Bills cough up #12 and a 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder.

So the Colts take Nelson (a player I love), and we finally have our first trade! Bills move up to #7 and take TB's pick, with TB moving back to #12. Will it be Allen or Rosen?

Roquan to the Bears. Good, solid pick. Maybe the 49ers take the other LB, Edmunds, now, or they could go DB with James or Fitzpatrick IMO.

McGlinchey to the 49ers. Maybe a slight reach, but they want protection for Jimmy G. If he's good, they'll live with it LOL.

Arizona moves up to 10! If they take Rosen here as expected, this is exactly what I had on my mock.

Really good deal for them, too. I had them giving up 15, 79, and a '19 2nd or 3rd, and they gave up 15, 79, and a 5th this year. To get maybe the best passer in this year's class without giving up a 1st or a 2nd, yeah, that's pretty good.

He's good (also Matt Ryan's cousin BTW)

The ND to 49ers connection continues.
