also just the lifestyle....in the NFL he will be staying at 5 Star Hotels traveling on charter flights, eating great food, etc. etc. In baseball for at least 2-4 years, he is traveling from one podunk town to another often on a "retired" charter bus if the team owns their own....or waiting at the curb like school kids going on a field trip waiting on the charter rental bus to show up.....staying in Days Inn's and Howard Johnson's, eating at the finest establishments in those towns....Applebee's if lucky, but more likely Taco Bell.

Brady has been pretty lucky but he still might end up regretting playing for so long.I think he should of retired a long time ago. Brett Favre was addict to pain pills, Aaron Rodgers just ended the season with a concussion and the year before with a broken collar bone. Payton Manning has a metal neck. Washington State QB Tyler Hilinski had CTE and the 'brain of a 65-year-old'.

He would be in the farm league but he was the 9th pick and signed a contract for 5 million. Also he still has the potential to earn a lot more.

The allure of fame and even more riches in the nfl would be tempting and I would do it in a heart beat if it was my only option. But having a baseball career imo is a far better lifestyle even if it's not as glamours(5 star hotel, expensive food ect). Being able to wake up every morning painfree and having your mental heath is worth more to me than having a few more million in the bank.

I think that Kyler probably loves football a lot more than baseball and I'm also guessing that he thinks he has a much better shot at succeeding in football. This in addition to the fact that he will very likely end up with more upfront guaranteed money from being drafted as a 1st round pick in the NFL.

It will be interesting to see which team talks itself into wasting a top 10 pick on him. I won't be shocked if someone takes him over Haskins.

NBA: After hearing of Antonio Brown's public request for a trade, we reviewed league regulations and have concluded that it is in the best interest of the NBA to fine Magic Johnson 500K for tampering.

This Steelers team will end up gutted because the owner was too much of an idiot to pay Le'Veon Bell what he is worth. Big Ben will likely bail for retirement soon.

I'm on the fence about the Rams making an offer for him but I really hope he doesn't end up in the NFC.

It's rather amazing that Baltimore found somebody loopy enough to take on that contract. That Broncos front office is a mess...

Seems pretty obvious that Elway lucked into a Super Bowl early in his tenure, with the Manning signing the impetus for that (though during the season of the actual title that they won, he was cooked by then). I'm not sure Flacco is even better than Keenum. In fact, I am going to say that he's not.

I think the odds of that are fairly low, but I could see him having a shot to be the second QB off the board. Miami picks at 13, owner Stephen Ross likes making splashes, and they need a QB badly. I know there has been some thought that the Dolphins would tank this year for a shot at the QB class of 2020 (#TankForTua?), but maybe they will end up taking the plunge.

I agree to a degree. I won't say "a long time ago" I think now is the time.

New rules protecting QB today leads me to think Kyler will go relatively unscathed for a football player.

There's no guarantee he'll make it to the big league. If he chooses football he's on a team immediately.

NFL players enjoy the same lifestyle.

I think most athletes have pain in the morning. Basketball players wake up with pain. Plus I take 16 to a 162 game season in a hot minute.

He's pretty money in the playoffs. If the defense stays great I think they have a chance to win a playoff game or two - they'll probably be a WC with KC winning the AFCW again.

Kyler Murray measured over 5'10" at the combine....I am surprised, thought he would be a little shorter.

to me it feels like this got more news coverage than deserved....I get Witten had a great career, but he is going to be 37 years old....been away from the game for a season, and his numbers were declining when he retired. Seemed like the media was spinning it as this made the Cowboys near favorites for the Super Bowl because of his return.

Seems to be a lot of talk that Kyler Murray is going to be the first QB chosen. May even have a shot to go #1 overall, if Arizona decides that they like him more than Rosen (could then move Rosen for a pretty good 1st round pick this year, as QB-needy teams would probably have interest in Rosen), or if a team offers a big bounty to Arizona to move up to #1.

This appears to be a case where he made the right decision to choose football.
