I hope Detroit moves forward with Kerryon Johnson as the primary RB.....still not sure why LeGarrette Blount received the same # of carries/touches.

Kerryon is legit, but he does have a history of injuries that apparently date back to high school. I just don't think they want to commit to over-using him because of that. But there's no doubt that he pops on tape. Quick, decisive, and powerful. And has good hands as well.

I have not watched much of Seattle, but why is Penny not getting touches? I saw Carson's numbers yesterday, but I could get 100 yards on 30+carries. I also think it is time for Tampa to get Ronald Jones on the field. Barber is pedestrian, and there is no reason we need 4 TE's active every week.

Carson has looked better than Penny at every opportunity. Penny also got injured during preseason and was overweight during camp, too, so he was behind the proverbial 8-ball. Of course, behind that terrible offensive line, it's going to be hard for anyone to pile up rushing yardage. But Carson has legitimately looked good since the start of last season whenever he's played. And when I say "looked good", I am talking more about elusiveness and power, not necessarily numbers.

Does anyone understand the new and confusing "Roughing the Passer Rule"?

I understand about trying to prevent more QB injuries, but OMG they're taking away from the game?! I mean a sack should be a sack!

There are a few pieces to it, but Clay was getting hit with the "landing with most or all of your bodyweight on top of the quarterback" part. I guess you have to tackle them and then twist so you land side by side, or so he lands on you??? Seems difficult.

If they taught rugby tackling (as we are doing with our youth players) it would be easy, your weight would be on one side of the QB. Matthews hit the QB straight on so that is where his weight ended up. I noticed Mack putting his head to the side in the Bear game, that is one way to avoid a penalty. Plus I think that the calls on Clay are somewhat based on the past couple of games. That being said, I think it is a dumb rule.

Big Ben is not having a good day. Tossed a INT and had a horrible exchange with his tailback. SAS is going to have a field day if Roth doesn't get it going.

Just when I ink this the Steelers McDonald punks Conte for a 65 yard TD. Vicious stiff arm. Just shoves him to the turf.

THAT'S GONNA BE ON SPORTCENTER!!!

Bogus roughing the passer on Roethlisberger. The league is going to have to do something about this rule.

Chris Conte is genuinely one of the worst players I have ever seen at the NFL level. Yet he continues to find work. Kerry Rhodes could not and Eric Reid cannot. But no collusion going on whatsoever.

They have to do something about roughing the passer.

I've had no problem with any of them except one, the JPP call where he barely made contact with Ben's helmet with his hand and Ben acted like he just got hit by a car.

my issue is the weight landing on the qb call. thats unavoidable when you're rushing the qb.

anyone that has played football recognizes they have went too far, and now asking players to do things and make adjustments that are virtually impossible even for elite athletes.

Brent Grimes should not be starting for the Buc's....he is terrible. He is 5'9" and plays like he is 5'4". They always refer to him a the best cover corner, but the problem is even when he is there, he usually cannot do much to prevent the completion. The 2 CB rookies, Carlton Davis & MJ Stewart, are better options.

Fitzpatrick is 35. He's now making commercials and money. Strike while the iron is hot. That is him in the commercial selling the Apple 4 isn't it?

EDIT: Watched the Apple 4 watch commercial. The guy looks like Ryan.
