That was B-Scott. What an idiot. That fat Joe McDonnell still is a Shaq jocker. |

Joe McDonnell just said Kobe doesn't try on defense and hasn't played D in 2 years? This fat slob makes me sick. |

Lionel, if Penny is going to Orlando, does that mean Francis is going to NY? Francis and Marbury...sounds like a BAD combination to me. |

Not unless we keep Odom...I can gurantee that Bynum and Fry doesn't = KG in P&G...Odom, Bynum, and Frye....that is another story |
I doubt Minny would want Odom's long contract when it is proven he cannot even be a second option, let alone first. Minny would want a young stud or two + expirings + draft picks for KG if they dump him. |

I think you're overestimating KGs value. Odom, Bynum and Kwame with a few picks might do it. Your offer is too much to give up. I have a feeling that BYnum is literally untouchable at this point. I might be way off base, but I think that Buss thinks Bynum is the next big thing. |

Joe is right. His D isn't what it was...but it's not all about him losing it...it's about playing w/ the sort of talent or lack thereof as well. |

Sure he tries, but his effort is many times misdirected i.e. going for the suicide steal more times than he should. |

If The Lakers wouldn't trade Bynum for Artest why would they trade him and Odom for Frye? This is not a deal. |

Thats a good question, Lionel can you answer that for us? how can you expect a trade to be done when Jimmy has nixed every trade? |

From the beginning it sounded like a New York media story. They're panicking far worse over there than we are. Half the league has New York deals on the table. I do like how their media at least tries to put rumors out there to get something going. _________________ When they ask me about Shaq, I say, 'I love Shaq, but [screw] Miami.' It is what it is. What would that make Riley?
He took a team that went one game from the Finals to a team that's not even a contender this season.
Not to mention the contracts he gave Walker and Shaq |

Lionel, who's the one whos calling for this trade that your saying will be done before the deadline? is it Jimmy or has the whole Organization agreed upon the trade cause i don't think this Organization is on the same page and that has caused Jimmy to nix the deals. |

Doesn't Penny's $14 million contract expire this summer? I am actually an Odom fan, but Frye could be a huge star in this league and with the space that Penny's contract would open up, we could actually make a run at some decent talent this summer and next after Grant's expires. |

How exactly? By scoring less than Lamar does? Or is it by grabbing a little over 1/2 the rebounds? Or perhaps it's the 1/6th number of of assists he gets, or the lesser shot blocking, or the worse defense?
Seriously, why do any of you still believe this nonsense? You think Phil wants to get WORSE just to save a buck, let alone to trade for yet another freakin rookie when he's been saying he'd like to add a veteran? We're in the middle of a playoff push here, fellas. Many of the games we lose are directly because of youth and experience, and yet getting younger and adding rookies who can't defend, is a solution? Have you guys seriously not noticed that the Knicks spread these types of B.S. rumors every single trading season? They do it EVERY year even int he off-season, and yet fans are still gullible enough to believe it, no matter how unrealistic it sounds.
I just gotta scratch my head with some of these rumors and the willingness of fans to believe or make such idiotic moves. Making moves just to make a move, is not a good move. You make them to improve your team and trading Odom for Frye and cap relief, doesn't make us better. If Odom is traded, it's not going to be for a rookie, let alone one who doesn't even give us what Lamar does. This particular trade only forces Kobe to do most of the ball handling and facilitating, will wear him out more by adding additional responsibilities, and takes him off of that attacking wing position he's been so brilliant in. |
