Gotta wonder about Nance's fiancee...she was a wannabe model, and modeling gigs in Cleveland are probably few and far between

Well actually if she's a real model (not just one of these Instagram wannabe "glam" girls), there's lots of really good commercial work in Ohio. I have a friend whose had a successful career as a commercial makeup artist for really good clients for 15+ years and she's never left Ohio.

you learn something every day...Normally when you think about modeling you think NYC, Miami, and LA - not Ohio.

Loved these guys. They were the two "oldest" players of our core (age 25), so I'm glad they'll get to taste the playoffs while they're still young.

EDIT: On another note, to cap off this eventful day, I finally reached 1000 posts!!! ...and it only took me a little under 10 years. Progress.

I understand the feeling. If not for this trade, it would have taken another 3 months

Cavs fans are too shallow to realize the significance of #8 & #24. Only one person mentioned it in their forum and chalked it up to coincidence.

I hope you shallow, coat riding Cavs fans are here reading this right now.

Yup. A revitalized bench. Still a win win for both sides.

the thing that I think Altman did that I found so impressive is he brought in 4 plug and play NBA rotational players....just in the 1st half it was easy to see all 4 of these guys starting, coming off the bench, playing in situations, playing heavy or light minutes, etc. None will likely ever be NBA All Stars, and they are kind of use to conforming to a teams needs. The rumors about getting DeAndre Jordan or some other players would not have been as simple to make work.

could be....but I do not consider Thomas and Frye a win....have to use that cap space and draft pick well

I think eventually he needs to start....either at the #2 or #3 in smaller lineups...kind of wish we could have took a look at thim....6'8" SG that can shoot and defend....that is not a common player to find.

yinoma, remember this conversation last January.....wished we could have pulled it off....Osman looks like he may develop into a solid player.

January 2017....

The Lakers need to move Calderon to Cleveland for their TPE, rights to Cedi Osman, and a future 2nd Round Pick. It is a decent haul for a player not playing and expiring.

I think Cavs rather wait out and get him as a buyout rather than having to pay for Calderon's pro-rated salary (and luxury tax hit) AND giving up assets, particularly Osman.

I would have also, but was reading articles on their fan sites, and they have a point....there may be 2 or 3 teams wanting him, and there is no reason to assume he would choose Cleveland. It may be worth it for them to give up almost nothing to assure he lands in Cleveland. Osman supposedly wants to come over next season.

Of course I do that in a heartbeat if I'm the Lakers...gives Jose a chance at a ring.
