Still shocked at the low price they paid to get Hood.

He's an RFA this summer and Utah didn't seem at all interested in keeping him, so there wasn't much benefit in giving up something for him now.

Also, he's #96 out of 103 SGs in RPM this year...

maybe....but has the potential to be a top 10 SG in this league....its all there, he just has to stay healthy and put it all together

I hope Lebron stays in Cleveland. If he leaves then JC and Nance are once again in a rebuilding team.

that team without Lebron is still contending for a playoff spot in the East in my opinion....they will not be cellar dwellers unless they begin dumping salary

True. But after their recent history of going to the finals and also winning one, I dont think they will be happy with just a playoff appearance. They’ll have to rebuild and tank a season or two to get another Kyrie type of player in the draft because no free agents would want to go there.

Even if Lebron leaves, they have a decent shot at a franchise player level prospect in this upcoming draft with the Brooklyn pick. Then they can either keep Love, or more likely sell him off for additional assets and tank 2019 for another high pick. Thompson's their only big contract beyond that year, so their salary cap issues will resolve by then, too. Altman has them set up well for both scenarios.

we needed a #46 pick and a #27 pick to become stars? Nobody in their right mind expected stars when these guys were drafted

Draymon became one

We need stars that's the only way to get back on top.

They had a good game today! Kudo's to JC and LN -- Cav's got the better of the trade in the first games.

Lebron is the most fake player in the entire association. One minute he's your best buddy, and the next you get a text saying LeGM just traded your ass. JC probably shouldn't get too close, for his own good.

we hopefully win the deal with what we do with cap space and draft pick....but as it relates to the players moved, JC & Larry >>> IT & Frye....and that is unlikely to change.

We had to get rid of Lou. He would have won some games on his own and probably cost us the pick which ended up being ZO.

That's why people were cool with that deal.

That doesn't change the fact that Lou WIll is still one of the best bench scorers in the league.

Folks. Can’t have it both ways. This is the cost of the 2 max plan. If we get 2 max this summer or Pg13 plus high level FAs we will be applauding the move. We have shed Dlo, jc and nance towards that end so I wish for success to magic and Pelinka.

Happy for JC and Nance. Here's the irony, what if the CAVs play really well and take golden state to like 6 games. Maybe Gilbert signs like one more major FA and Lebron stays in Cleveland, how will that look for the lakers. JC is going to be a beast in the east, the lakers will regret not keeping him if they don't get 2 major FAs.

The new guys paying off in Cleveland. I feel they continue to do so,
LeBron could feel comfortable to stay.

Yeah, I think we all kinda forgot how lucky we were to retain the pick. If it weren't for Phoenix's bad luck, we would've lost it.
