He couldn't make the pass to Randle....they'd have intercepted it.

Agreed

It wasn’t a bad shot for Thomas but there was no way in hell he was going pass the ball, that wasn’t an option in his mind. We were going to live or die with his shot. Which is why I hope we don’t see him in the game the last 5 minutes of the 4th.

That might be true but I'm not sure. Many games he's passed the ball to the open man (usually Randle) in the 4th Q more than shooting it himself.

The hate for IT reminds me of some friends who hated the casting of Daniel Craig for James Bond. He wasn't as handsome or as tall as other Bond's... so even though Casino Royale was way better than the past several Bond movies... they just b*tched and b*tched about it to no end... and felt vindicated when Quantum of Solace wasn't very good.

It's funny how men care so much about how their heroes look... even when they are completely straight and don't have a gay bone in their body.

IT doesn't look like how a player should... so it doesn't matter if he gets results... the minute he fails it's because he's too short. He could have three MVP seasons... and they'd still be waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I'm pissed with IT right now because he's cost us three games... but I can still see that he's a good player who had an off night.

But because he's not Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan... some of you will keep trashing him because to you he doesn't look like a basketball player.

There are guys who will make passes and play-make.. There are guys that will make passes and play-make while at the same time taking bad shots, forced shots, selfish shots, shots that an individual that wasn't about himself wouldn't take. IT is the latter.

He doesn't fit with this team. I don't generally like his brand of basketball.

LPA issues statement to abolish the "m" word
September 2015

Little People of America, the world’s oldest and largest dwarfism support organization and an international, membership-based organization for people with dwarfism and their families, advocates to abolish the use of the word “midget”. The word “midget” was never coined as the official term to identify people with dwarfism, but was created as a label used to refer to people of short stature who were on public display for curiosity and sport. Today, the word “midget” is considered a derogatory slur. The dwarfism community has voiced that they prefer to be referred to as dwarfs, little people, people of short stature or having dwarfism, or simply, and most preferably, by their given name.

When we surveyed our community about the usage and overall impact of the word “midget”, over 90% of our members surveyed stated that the word should never be used in reference to a person with dwarfism. As an advocacy organization, our charge is to take the lead in providing accurate and current information to the public when the “m” word is used erroneously, and often carelessly, as a description of a person with dwarfism. Whether the intention of the user of the word is used to bully and to demean, or just as a synonym for small, our collective experience shows us that language has the power to cause permanent damage to one’s self-esteem and identity.

We have made great strides in our advocacy with effective results. For example, major media venues, like the New York Times, have stopped using the term “midget” to refer to people with dwarfism. Over the years, LPA has educated politicians, sports figures and people in the entertainment industry regarding the improper and hurtful use of this word. Further, we have been in contact with schools around the country whose sports teams and/or mascots have the word “midget” in their names, encouraging them to change it. The word “midget” in use today has a negative, degrading, and mean-spirited feel and identity.

LPA can provide further educational materials about the history of the word “midget” and its evolution, advocacy resources, and support for you to help in the effort to remove “midget” from the everyday vernacular. Our collaborative efforts will put the word “midget” into permanent retirement, and have it join the ranks of other antiquated and hurtful terms that are not used anymore.

LongBeachPoly....thanks so much for posting this. ^^^^^^

I'm glad I finally spoke up here and said it was offensive earlier today....as it was being used more & more to slander IT here.

Sentient Meat and some others here, thanks for backing me up and continuing the discussion with those insisting there was nothing wrong with using it.

LakerSanity....thanks for asking that word to not be used here any more.

If Lou is worth 8 mill, IT is worth less than that. 6 mill for the 6th man.

He's in for a real wake up call.. Or maybe he knows his real worth, and is simply angling for a higher payday. Like how could he not know..

Anyway I was on the fence with him.. Now I'd just rather not have him on the team.

I'm fine with him but his value for me is dropping with each game. By the end of the season, his value for me might be the room exception. Geez.

Sadly, the Clippers got a steal getting Lou for 8 mil....not what he's worth. Without Lou they would have at least 10 more losses this season.

While I don’t think IT is an nba player, I still think someone offers him a vet min “prove yourself” type deal, obviously I’d prefer it not be us

watched every game he's played here....don't want him back. He's first off a shell of the guy he was last year because he's lost a step from the hip injury. He provides you with nothing on defense or rebounding. Then he thins he's some superstar.

Lakers need a backup guard who can produce off the dribble and dish. They can find one cheaper and with less of an ego than Thomas who can defend.

There's a reason he's played on 5 teams since 2013-14. Doesn't happen to really good players.

That's a contract Mitch did too but it gets lost when people talk about Deng. But we got Lou Will for a bargain.

And IT isn't helping himself proclaiming himself not a 6th man.

He may not want to face that reality but there's a 90% chance that the hip injury has turned him into a 6th man.

I know he feels like he's earned the right to start, and proven it. But at the same time that was when he was at 100%.

He may only get to 80-90% of what he was, and 80-90% of what he was is a Super 6th man.

As if there's any comparison between the two Besides, he also gave Timofey Mozgov 64 mil in the same offseason. Don't leave that part out. Worst argument ever. Seriously.

No guarantee he’s back even if we can’t get max FAs, we can still go after RFAs like Gordon or decide to pursue Noel

If Lopez goes elsewhere for money. Noel will be the many dozens of bigs we will pursue via FA or trades.

Even Luke has said what a professional IT has been and how he's working hard to help the team and the young players.
