What does a 75% version of last year's IT look like?

One that is motivated to show that he is not a team cancer and for someone who is playing for a contract?

I'd be surprised if Thomas wasn't speaking through his agent.

I'd think he would like to start.
But why not bring that to Luke or Magic.
Why through a text to The Jump girl.

i think he didnt know Rachel will share that text on live tv.

We'll see how IT reacts to coming off the bench

Who does the lakers got better than him at pg right now?

BI

Right. IT suffered a pretty major injury that is very difficult to come back from. He was flat out horrible for the Cavs.

It's not about attitude.
It's about health.
You can see he's not right.

But attitude factors in b/c he THINKS he's the MVP candidate from last year.

Ergo, my 75% 2017 IT question. What does that look like if he actualizes what he is with his attitude?

Technically we have four potential starting guards. That's a very good problem to have.
Personally I don't care who starts or finishes as long as we play team ball and WIN.

It's a good problem until 2 of those starting guards cough-IT/KCP-cough start causing locker room drama for not starting.

The good news is the only two guys who MIGHT cause those type of problems can take their a**es home this summer

I hope IT can redeem a bit of his self from last year, and were able to close the season with a potential playoff push.

Not sure if it was his leg that bothered him, or all the big name players in CLE that minimized his talents, but hopefully he finds some of that “mr 4th quarter” touch and magic from last year.

The nice thing is both IT/KCP have incentives to play nice. Don't want to be a lockerroom cancer heading into FA. Isaiah already has gotten that rap.

Even if not healthy it will interesting to see if can embrace a positive role with the Lakers. How he approaches the next couple months will say say lot about his attitude and will affect his FA.

He did not come away from the CLE experince looking good off the court. If he can avoid being seen as a complainer or locker room pain in the ass he can recoup some of his reputation and millions of dollars.

Embrace the role player expectations. Give quality mpg, even if not happy with coming off the bench or reduced mpg if needed. IMO he can be a an impact player even with the rehab limitations. Has limitations but it will be interesting to see how he responds to the trade. Maybe he surprises us.

Some good stuff from cranjis

I'd encourage everyone to take a look. Makes me feel better about the moves from a talent standpoint.

Not only can he hit the FTs. He gets to the line A LOT. Even in his limited stint in Cleveland he got to the line more than anyone on our roster except Ingram. During his 16-17 season in Boston he was #7 in the NBA in attempts.

Kinda excited to see how he does. Want him to shut the haters up. People act like Clarkson wasn't a ball stopper and iso player. Sure Isaiah is a iso player but he'll make the pass when players are cutting and open. I'm rooting for him since he can help take us to another level

A lot of people seem to be talking about cap room and the pick we got, but anyone who isn’t excited about the prospect of having IT in the last 29 games isn’t a hardcore fan...

This.

A motivated, underdog mentality IT who's playing for money with zero expectations is a great situation for us

Something we haven't had since a healthy Kobe.

He’s gonna play a vital role in our playoff run, he respects Magic and the Lakers legacy... a lot of people seem to be caught up with the Cavs situation, look at how Fyre was super excited to leave that crap hole after the trade was announced... I’m almost sure Thomas will end up having a resurgence with us and that will potentially help us make a run at the 8 seed

That video is torture to watch. C's announcers are like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I'm really hoping for a buyout. The dude should have had hip surgery. In order to overcome his defensive suckitude, he has to be his insane efficient self on the other end and he's been a shell of himself there. The team is on a roll now and has an outside chance at the postseason. All of that will go down the toilet as he pounds the ball and clanks shots in pursuit of his next contract while barely raising a hand on the other end. It's the one aspect of this trade I really hate. I hope we bench him quickly.

Plus you watch his highlights, he plays with a purpose. Even his short time with the Cavs, he has heart. Anyway hope he can help us right away
