If he's smart. He takes the bench unit and makes it his own. Kill it on the second unit. Get us to the playoffs. |

Not sure where to put this, so I'll just drop it here.
Allie Laforce interviewing Magic for NBATV. He talks about IT, and the rest of the trade. Funny at the end she asked Magic about as Lakers fans, what "we" can expect. Maybe not everyone from Ohio is a Cavs fan? Magic did his best towards the end to not name anymore names though.

Thanks for that pic. Made it my desktop picture. I love the look on his face hugging Luke.....pure joy!!

Thanks epak......great video. Look at the smile on his face when he's talking about finally wearing a Laker uniform. |

Is there an “Unofficial Welcome Isaiah” thread? I need to bring up some things he might not want to hear. |

What happens if Isiah goes off for 25 per night and we're just outside the playoffs. Do we resign him and bring in Paul George? _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

Frye - 11/4/1
IT - 21/5/8 |
You think Frye will get a lot of minutes right away? I think he'll play a little tomorrow but not enough score in double digits. IT will get the minutes but I have a feeling shooting % is not going to be good in his first game. Hope I'm wrong of course. |
Last Cleveland game he shot 50% and 80 from 3pt _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

This is what I would do! With Hart and KCP backing up Thomas/Ball/Ingram. With Lopez backing up KUZ and Beast Randle... And Frye with a few minutes added in...
If Thomas can show 21/22 a game in 33 or so minutes per game you have to consider him for next season, I believe he would be about 11 mill off of the cap?
Unless of course Magic has that wink/wink deal with Bron and PG-13 in place?
Perhaps PG-13 in 18' and Kawhi in 19" to join the kids as they ripen into stardom? |

It's crazy when you think, Cleveland basically traded Kyrie for 4 bench players and a couple picks. |

No need to reinvent the wheel here, this will work just fine:
STARTERS:
PG. Ball
SG. Thomas
SF. Ingram
PF. Randle
C. Lopez
BENCH:
PG. Innes/Caruso/GP-II
SG. Pope/ Hart
SF. Hart/Brewer
PF. Kuzma/Fry
C. Fry/Zubac/Thomas _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

He looks happy to be here and it looks like he knows and likes our young guys. All good. He’s going to get a lot of opportunity to score with that 2nd unit, excited to see what he looks like this season. |

he was never the problem it was bron. Dudes a team killer. Just pounds ball for 20 seconds and either shoots or passes to star players he makes camp at 3 point line. 2 PG have been sick of playing with him. NO to bron on 2018 |

The problem with Isaiah Thomas is he is a huge defensive liability
The Celtics saw it and the Cavs traded him. They were happy to get rid of him.
The problem is he is 5 9 and a player 6 2 or more will have a field day shooting 3 point jump shots with him guarding. It will be like no one there and practice. Klay Thompson will go off for 40 easy with Thomas guarding. So will Curry and many of the good shooting PGs and SGs.
The Lakers gave up a lot of defense for a defensive net loss.
Luke Walton was going in the right direction with the defense and now this move.
The draft pick will have to compensate. |

What in the world are you talking about? IT isn’t under contract past this season and I believe we are all done playing GS for the year. How is Klay gonna drop 40 on someone he’s not going to play?
You don’t get it, this move was for cap space and we got a first rounder to boot. IT isn’t much worse of a defender than Lou or Clarkson, the last two guys to have the roll of the primary bench scorer.
Unless you were a Larry or JC fanboy, there is really no argument that can be made against this trade. |

No IT lack of self awareness was the problem. Kyrie and Lebron played great together. Kyrie wasn't gonna wait for Lebron to leave the team and be stuck. Kyrie also got tired of not getting credit. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

Ah yeah, march 14th...my bad, thought we had played them 4 times already. Ok, guess it was a bad trade then haha. |
