Now Imagine the takes on here had IT gone 3/6 and we lost that game |

WHAT? His guy Fox didn't even score in the 4th
Look at IT's plays in the last 5 minutes
Assist to Kuz for a wide open 3
Potential Assist to Julius that resulted in a charge
Assist to Julius for a dunk + 1
6/6 free throws
The only bad play was the turnover which was a foul in my opinion. IT hate is out of hand |

Yeah but he didn't. He was clutch and he was laughing at the 2 Kings fans in the building that were trying to psyche him out during those free throws. |

Imagine the crap he has to deal with on Twitter, IG, Facebook... let alone in the arenas. No wonder he seems pissed off some of the time... he's been an all star twice in the last three years and half the fans think he's a scrub.
I really feel for the guy. |

It was an unfortunate series of events firstly getting screwed over by Ainge and then having to play with Lebron, with all the drama and scapegoating that comes along with it. |

They're worried that if IT plays well that the Lakers will have to pay him, and thus want to act like he sucks so that if we lose him in Free Agency that it's no big loss cause we were 'too good' for him.
It's a mentality that we see in some Lakers fans more than I'd like. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

One other bad player, he should have switched out on BB on that and 1 three pointer. That should be common sense in that scenario.
I can’t imagine we bring him back at all. Unless it’s for a super cheap deal and a 1+1 type of deal. |

For the first time this season, I felt confidence when we were at the line last night late in the ball game. |

I have been an IT fan since he was at UW. When we passed him over 4 times in the second round of the draft I was yelling at the TV and Jim Buss. He is definitely not a scrub. That being said, I have criticized him and don't think he is a good long term fit for this team. IT wants to be the man. IT wants and deserves to get big bucks. IT doesn't want to be a backup. IT is a horrible defender and this team is being built around defense.
If IT wanted to stick around for less money than he deserves and be a backup that would be great for the Lakers and I would respect IT for it. I just don't think it will happen or that IT would be happy with that. IT deserves the big bucks and it would be best for both parties if he got his big payday somewhere else. |

His defensive deficiencies are obvious but I love his “alpha” attitude in the 4th quarter. You can see that he wants the ball and is not afraid of the big moments. _________________ Chick Hearn and Vin Scully. How lucky are we? |

Yeah that's a perfectly fair analysis... I only speak up when people just randomly call him garbage or a midget without any clear reason.
I don't think anyone will offer him big bucks, however, I can see a contending team with a weak bench really using him as a powerful weapon.
If we don't get the two elites... I think he'd be a good option simply because we need someone to take that clutch shot in crunch time. I liked what Luke did last night... use him until we got a 7 point lead, then he brought in Hart to play defense. I liked the way he'd alternate IT and Hart depending on whether we needed offense or defense towards the end of the game.
But I also agree that I don't want to sign him if he will be unhappy or bitter playing a lesser role. What I would like to see is a version of Russell's Celtics or Pop's Spurs... where everyone scores 15 points a game and no one is the dominant star. If IT can buy into that vision, then I hope we keep him... but if he only wants to be a star then I agree he probably won't fit. |

It’s the little things the stat sheet doesn’t show about IT that we are overlooking. At the end of the game he was getting to the lane at will and was kicking the ball out for wide open looks. we missed some or else the game woulda been blown open with all the shots we had.
IT set more players up in the last qtr then Lonzo would have done IMO. Lonzo just looks to pass. IT has the ability to finish and defenses know that which is why he draws the attention |

I like what I've seen from IT in the last couple of games and seems to be trying to fit in and not complain to the media about pt. He would make a great 6th man for us (if he is willing yo accept that role) |

I'd gladly sign him if LeBron's not coming. But I don't think that he wants to be a 6th man. |

I would Keep IT...Keep KCP...keep Randle...and focus on 1 more player...a PG...or whoever. Lopez Gone....focus on ZU and TB.
Starters... IT, KCP, Kuz, Randle, Ingram (Depending on what FA we get, we will see who gets out the starting lineup)
Bench - Zu, Lonzo, TB, fill in the rest
I like Lonzo, but im not sold on him as a starter, especially with these health issues...and time restrictions...I think with a better team, which we have been growing into, lets make him work for that spot. He hasn't been as productive as far as wins and loses as i expected. He plays well in spurts, but hasn't showed that command of pace from beginning to end of games yet.
Maybe replace Kuz with ZU, like the way GS does with zaza, and have kuz come in for our death lineup.
I like the way we look now. I think IT is playing through growing pains...but he brings a stability...a confidence...that we have sporadically, but he has it consistently. We need that to rub off on Ingram...and Lonzo. |
