Kudos to Frye for stepping up when this team needed him. Great game! |

If that was his contribution to the Lakers in the trade, then so be it, it was worth it. _________________ If you don't like the Lakers in re-build mode, I suggest you take your whiny skinny butt to the Clippers bandwagon. |

His size, shooting touch and level of athleticism seems identical to LaMarcus Alridge. Why didn't he work on mid-range post like LaMarcus? He could have done more with his career.
Both 6'11 and even weight is similar. LA is 260, Frye 255. _________________ "They are in the West! You must go D'Angelo Russell here, or my head will explode!" Jalen Rose |

This guy is a good role player that fits what we're trying to do. Hopefully we can keep him on the Vet-Min next year. |

Intelligent veteran presence with a mean three-point shot!
He is the perfect mentor for your young guys especially Thomas Bryant. _________________ www.trendydeckpost.com |

Wouldn't mind having him back for next year. Can stretch the floor, and is a great teammate |

You sure? I'd heard the only reason he'd been getting minutes on our team was because of his Arizona connection with Luke. |

Bring him back next year. Great vet to have in the locker room that can space the floor from either FC position. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' People forget that Knicks fans were comparing him to Tim Duncan during his first year with the Knicks, he had the skillset, but I believe that he wasn't the same physically when he messed up his knee late in the season when he was a rookie. Defense has been his biggest weakness, along with rebounding. He had some moments of a nice post up and face up game during his rookie year, but since he signed to the Suns, he has been a good floor spacer and shooter. If he came out the draft today, he would go top 10 more than likely again like he did in 2005. Plus, this dude ALWAYS killed the Lakers when he was in Phoenix. Frye is the ultimate teammate and someone you want on your team and in the locker room, wouldn't mind him at all coming back next season. |

Understandable if he wants to go to a contender, but, that could be us depending on what moves we make.
In either case, an inexpensive floor spacing big? Yes please. |

Book it. Frye returns. Richard Jefferson will be here.

Both 6'11 and even weight is similar. LA is 260, Frye 255. | their athleticism was no where near the same on the court in their primes.
LA was actually pretty darn athletic for that time and his height/weight. Frye was never known as an athletic guy. he was just 6'11. had a little post game but was thin for when he came into the nba. so he would get worked at that position. he learned how to shoot later on. and he turned into a stretch big and not much else because thats all that teams wanted him to do/be. |

Good veteran leader who can still play. I would love to have him back but he will probably latch onto a contender. _________________ LG NBA Playoff pool:

Just to be clear we are also trying to be a contender so Frye will be a option |

It's been forever since I've watched him play, so last night I was like "His shots look so rushed! What the... that's his actual shooting style?"
We'll always have The Isiah Thomas Nuggets Game, and now the Channing Frye Spurs Game (I'm sure IT helped us win more than just the Denver home game, but that's the best moment from him this year).
Cap Space, you got next, do your thing. |

Channing Frye quotes from NBA.com
Quote: | Channing Frye thinks it's possible the Lakers could land LeBron James in free agency this summer. ''Any superstar would like to play for Luke (Walton). He's a players' coach,'' Frye said.
''If that's not enough, this is also the Lakers and you'd get to play in LA at Staples Center.'' Frye will be a free agent, too, and the veteran forward would like to stay in LA.
''(Expletive), it's the Lakers,'' he said. ''I want to allow them to make the right decisions with bigger-name guys. I'm a pretty good backup, emergency break-the-glass-type guy.'' |

He is a solid veteran back up center. I hope we could bring him back for the vet minimum of we are unable to keep Lopez for the room exception. |
