This ensures that LeBron won't be signing with the Lakers since he hated playing with IT, which is why the Cavs traded him. |

IT's contract expires this year. If the Lakers can get LBJ and them playing together is a problem, you let IT walk _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

I will miss both of them, especially Nance but it's a solid move. |

Great trade. Clarkson and LNJ are guys, decent players, but just guys. Lakers have a much better PF with limited shooting abilities in Randle. Clarkson's deal was pretty bad long term and he's a volume usage guard who has been pretty much the same guy since being picked. Lakers now can sign two max guys, have a late first rounder this year, and keep their best young core in Kuzma, Hart, Ball, Ingram and potentially Randle depending on what goes down this summer.
That's massive flexibility moving forward. _________________ 17 time World Champions |

We got a great scorer, a good shooter that can space the floor, a 1st round pick AND $13 million in cap space for the summer!
Great trade. On an emotional level I will definitely miss Clarkson and Nance. I believe they will both have lengthy careers in the NBA. |

I'll miss Nance but it was a fantastic move. We get expirings and a 1st? Sounds good to me. |

So now how much more salary do we have to lose to afford two maxes this summer? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I voted loved it even though that is way too strong. Good trade, but hated losing players I like. |

Loved it, but it’s too early to tell. I love the kind of game we currently run. Defensive fastbreaking long team. With a tenacity of playing through rough patches. If IT and Frye can contribute to that style of play, and if we get to 40+ wins all while getting the fanbase riled up... it’s a huge adjustment to the trajectory of what our team can become.
We need to build on our defensive foundation then run the opposition out of the gym with our ball movement, length, and quickness.
For now... flexibility is a good thing. But being grateful for the team we currently have.. being this young to grow tighter and tougher in real time. It’s awesome watching this squad roll out with determination and fight.
Perspective: we have a team on the rise. Got two expiring free agents that seem to be relieved and ecstatic about being here. Let’s get some dominating wins, baby Lakeshow. Let’s go! _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL

At first glance I didn't like the trade because it involved IT. Further delving made the trade look good. 1st round pick, expiring contract, trade bait, and most of all, cleared cap to allow room for LBJ and PG13.
May not get either but Magic showed some Mitch Kupchak magic wand nuances. I'm beginning to believe in him as a GM. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I dont see any downsides tbh. If IT works out, cool, you get a scorererererererer and a shooter in Frye. If IT keeps sulking? Oh well, dont bring him back and get his capspace.
Late first rounder? With the way our scouting dept has been the past few years? Yes plz.
It sucks letting Clarky and GARY LANCE go, but I think we all kind of knew that somebody was going to get moved with all those picks we stacked up the past few years.

I wouldnt say I hated it but dont like it either. It really depends on what we do with the cap space. If it goes wasted then definitely BAD trade because JC + Nance >> late round draft prospect _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Excellent trade.
1 Keeping true youth core,
2 encouraging we'll get 2 max players this summer (or 1) and
3 builds trust with fans towards Maginka's magic wand.
Next steps:
Win most of our remaining games.
Get Paul George, summer 2018.
Get Kawhi or Klay summer 2019. |

As long as we keep Randle + BI + Lonzo i don't care. Losing Randle in the offseason would make me upset. _________________

At the very worst they got a 1st round pick in another deep draft for essentially one more season of Larry Nance Jr. As much as I love Larry I'd have to score that as a win. I don't think a team other than the Cavs does it. |
