Looks like he's fallen to 3rd on the Wolve's depth chart and they are looking to move him before the deadline. Any chance we could swing a deal for him for Sasha and a 2nd-rouner? Will McHale help the Lakers out?

There needs to be a bigger salary like DG to make that happen.

Wow...I just looked at his salary figures...he's got a TERRIBLE contract! Runs through about 2011, where he'll make $7.6 mil.

Mchale has no business managing a team.

I think he gave up Cassell + a 1st-rounder for him and his big contract.

And to think, that;s the type of deal may here want to see the Lakers make so they can say a trade was made. Which position is better? Make no trade if the numbers are bad and the best is you make a marginal improvement; or make a trade for a relative unknown quantity and overpay him to sit on your bench and wreck your cap?

What I think most fans are looking for is a rent-a-vet for 1/2 years for the dead weight/expiring K's on our bench that will never contribute this year.

He's lacks the required quickness on both ends to be truly effective. McHale overpaid, but that's the free market for you. He'd be good at half the salary. Okay player, just not worth what he's making.

SGH

One of the ways deals get done is taking less favorable contracts in addition to the ones you want. It might be part of the asking price. Helping them get rid of Jaric's contact might lower the other compensation.
