Well there goes that streak

Tough game tonight...they just seem ready for all-star break. Minnesota is an excellent home team. If the lakers don’t commit to defense, this will be another massacre. Their only chance is to grind out a game similar to @OKC.

That was with JC and Larry. Now we have I "NoD" T. Need some1 to take Larry's role and command the defense like a great general. Lakers might be self imploding if we don't start winning again soon. Losing too much will reduce our chances at landing our desired two max FA. The ripple effect is real.

Minnesota on a back to back is about the worst possible time to try and have a bounce back game... however, Luke has brought us back twice from complete ruin this season so I'm still hopeful, even after that sh*t show.

The only thing I got, is that we've played many games with Nance playing low minutes where we did fine. The first defeat of OKC, he only played 12 minutes and OKC scored 104 points... he played 10 minutes against Portland and they only scored 95. We held Brooklyn to 99 when he played 15 minutes.

I think he was an important piece, probably helped as a leader and with team morale a lot too... but physically, there's no reason why we can't play defense without him. Have any of you ever had the thought, "oh no, Larry's hurt... there's no way we can win now" before the last two games?

Let's hope Luke can find the answer again... I get why he exploded, because he's seen this before... fixed it... and then the team regressed again. It must be frustrating to come up with a solution... have Lonzo get injured... then come up with another... and then have the trade... and constantly have to retool the team. But that's the downside of dealing with young kids... as opposed to old vets.

We struggle against athletic big men post-Larry.

Dwight Powell looked like an all-star.
AD was AD

KAT gonna go off. We desperately need an athletic big man.

It's okay, Jimmy Butler gonna play first team all defense on KAT. Elite ball denial skills

A losing streak is expected after a big trade. The pelicans struggled when they first got DMC but they figured it out. Chemistry is a very overlooked factor in Todays NBA

we might. but its going to be tough. we are trying to acclimate a new guy into the lineup while we are still hurt at the Starting PG spot with zo out. and the backup sg spot with zo out. he plays off ball at times too. especially now that there's no clarkson off the pine.

Good point, I could see this team going on a nice run after the ASB, however Playoffs are looking bleak, but it would still be nice to finish the season on a high note, boy oh boy that 9 game losing streak really ruined our season

Recently....

If they've "always" done that then we'd be in the playoffs.

Apparently our defense went into All Star Break mode three games early.

Not cool, was Jordy C the difference maker on D?

GD it is hard to get up in the morning knowing we made a stupid gamble that absolutely destroyed any chances of this team landing big names. Who the hell is going to want to come here?!?

I know people are still thinking we got a steal in the trade by landing IT and they think we lost two bench guys but this team looks completely different and that team that Luke put together just imploded. It is not his fault. He spend the year getting the team to think the Laker FO was behind them 100%. Then we started those stupid trade rumors for Randal and JC as if these players need more stress in their lives.

Now we have Frye who didn't even go to the game, cause he has checked out already, we have IT who showed us why you never want a guy like IT on your team....EVER. We have some people on this board all excited about our 1st round draft pick when you know that every player is a gamble...like Ball seems to be injury prone and his dad is a douch-bag.

This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats.

This wouldn't be so bad if we didn't lose to crap teams every so often. We basically give ourselves 0 margin for error losing to the likes of the Mavs, Tragic, Pels, etc..
