I wonder if Mitch would get stuck with the same group that's been scouting their awful draft picks for the past 13 years. Twelve lottery picks and only one All-Star to show for it. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

Hahaha, Mitch is going to have to deal with Dwight all over again. That will be an awkward reunion. I really hope this happens.
Though the tables have turned... Whereas Mitch formerly had to beg Dwight to stay, now Dwight is just some random guy the Hornets got for a second round pick. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

If Mitch is hired he will have the chance to rebuild that FO. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
Rich is a great guy, a classy guy, and one of the smarter people I know. I'm sorry to see him go, and hope he pops back up somewhere. He was one of the first actual league guys I talked to (maybe THE first) when I was first writing the FAQ back in 1999.
I also like Mitch. I know he's spent a lot of time over the past year visiting other front offices to glean information about how they do what they do, and I hope some of it has rubbed off. There were some serious gaps in his knowledge and deficits in his working style long before his tenure with the Lakers was over.
As Larry hinted at, Cho’s a big analytics guy. I think, but could be wrong, that he was handcuffed more than a bit by the way Jordan likes to run the ship.
For example, I find it really difficult to believe that if Cho had the final say with draft issues that there’s no way in hell that the Hornets would’ve turned down the trade offer made from the Celts for the rights to the trade slot where Frank Kamininsky was drafted. That was incredibly stupid of the Hornets.
