He's about to have Simers on. Can't wait to hear this Phil Jackson rip-fest.

Instead, it's turned into TJ ripping Dave Smith. TJ is relentless - he cracks me up.

TJ as always is in total darkness, he needs to embrace the light. He's never a good idea to book as a guest on sports radio.

Vick, stop being a homer, please.

And no more of the "ocho" and "samurai" talk.
Please!

That's the reason why I like Vic, and it's also the reason why the loose cannons is a good radio show.

You have different extremes:

Hater: Hartman
Medium: Mychal
Homer: Vic

It balances things out.

Vic is also hilarious. He doesn't take himself serious, you shouldn't either.

Ocho is what Ocho is, the Greatest Player the sport has seen since Michael. No doubt Kobe is is mulling over what else he has to do to get Doctor Buss and Mitch off their tucuses and get him help now, not in 2 YEARS!

The fellas will be back, don't forget it.

Dave Smith actually have a very good show, it's funny as heck and he doesn't take himself too seriously. Try calling up guys like fat Joe or Rome and disagree with them and see how fast they shut you up and get rid of you.
More and more I can't stand Hartman, especially when he brings up his idiotic view on politics. Vic is OK and he balances out the hate. Mychal Thompson actually is a pretty funny and likeable guy.

The Lakers are playing bad right now. And then people call it, "blind hate" and say, "How do you know Mitch isnt trying to get us a trade?" well sister, he hasnt done jack to improve our ballclub in a long time. with shaq and now, post shaq. the guy just cant get the job done. thats like some bum working at an advertising company, and not getting too many sales for the company. do you think people will say, "how do you know hes not trying his best? how do you know he isnt trying to advertise our product? there is no market out there right now, we have to accept that".

get the job done, or get fired.

^ Green was a smokescreen we made happen. We made him important. It was actually a pretty good trick. Anyways, Dave is just mad like the rest of us. He figures people want to hear him (bleep) right now. First rule of media, Give the People what the want.

So WE made him important, not us along with the other teams who feigned interest?

And how exactly was it a "good trick" when the guy got picked 8 spots
after us?

Because other people didn't see Bynum or know that we were going to take him. I think New York would have taken Bynum over Frye had they seen what the Lakers were doing.

Say what you will about Vic... but I'd rather have someone looking for and finding the light, than feeding on feces and spewing the hate.

Positives about Dave Smith's show:
1. Allows callers to make statements.
2. Dave presents comical elements to his topics.
3. Dave is not afraid to ask direct questions to his professional guests.

Negatives about Dave Smith's show:
1. When Dave believes he is right, he doesn't give the other side the benefit of the doubt. Dave talks as if his basketball knowledge is way above everyone else's. Last year, he was trying to push James Thomas (alum from Texas) to the Lakers and presenting it like everyone is so dumb that they cannot see what this guy can do. I wonder where this James Thomas is right now? This year all you hear him talk about lately is Danny Fortson and Ruben Patterson as key to what the Lakers are missing. They may help some but definitely not difference makers.

2. Most callers are repeat callers who either has complemented Dave in the past or someone who he is familiar with in terms of arguments.
If he disagrees with you, he'll shut you down by saying "thanking you very much for your call" and then immediately after refute your comments with his points and you cannot respond anymore because your phone call has already been dropped.

3. Too many Dave Smith groupies, callers who can't tell facts from fiction and are easily swayed by Dave Smith statements.

4. Too much self-promo and propaganda about him and his radio station.

I'm enjoying all the banter about my show and love all the feedback, positive or negative. As for my cutting off callers who disagree, that's not true. Only when we need to break, because I have to let the call go. I think anyone who listens will agree that give people who think I'm an idiot more time than any other show.

You do a fair job Dave. I think you are a little obsessed with Ruben Patterson, but overall I enjoy the show in between the static and mariachi music.

Can you do something about the signal strength of your show down here in the OC?
