Rasual Butler, a longtime NBA player, died Wednesday along with his wife, R&B singer and former "American Idol" contestant Leah LaBelle Vladowski, in what police said was a single-vehicle rollover crash in Los Angeles.

Police said the couple died at the scene and that autopsies were pending.

Butler was 38. The NBA released a statement saying it was "devastated" by Butler's death.

"A pro's pro, Rasual enjoyed a long, successful career and was widely respected by his peers and coaches," the NBA said.

Saw the wreckage and the SUV was toasted. They say it was a rollover, but looks like they hit a concrete wall/abutment in a bad way. SUV apparently lost control at a good rate of speed and hit the wall that was separating a parking lot and a strip of businesses from the street. Looks like they came just short of having an empty parking lot in front of them.

Ex-NBA player legally drunk, on drugs during fatal accident

When former NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife were killed in a car accident in Southern California earlier this year, it shocked an unsuspecting basketball community.

Just 38 years old at the time of his death, Butler last played in the NBA back in 2015-16. So many around the Association played with him. It was a heartbreaking scene that included former “American Idol” contestant Leah LaBelle, also perishing.

Now, several months later, more details are coming out regarding the accident. And it’s not good.

According to TMZ Sports, a toxicology report shows that Butler at a blood alcohol content of .118 over the legal limit. The same report indicates that the 14-year NBA veteran tested positive for marijuana, methamphetamine and oxycodone.

As the gossip rag notes, these results could play a role if LaBelle’s family does decide to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Butler’s estate.

If true this article debunks my friends suspicion that he and his wife were arguing and his was angry.

You're pretty advanced if you gotta supplement .118, today's pot, and X number of Vikes with METH! Dayum. The meth might've been the only thing that kept his lungs working.
