If only we kept D'ange... (checks Nets/Heat game from Saturday night, benched after 1st quarter never to return in an OT victory)... ok, never mind. July 1st can't come soon enough.

Our closer in this group is Kuzma. That dude can score more ways than anyone since Kobe. He will take that title from whoever we bring in to fill that role. It may take him two to four years to take it from PG or Lebron but I have little doubt he is going to be that guy on this team eventually.

I'm very comfortable with Kyle being our go to guy in the clutch going forward.

Yeah, but we needed a PG a lot more since we dealt Russell away.

I can see Kuz developing into that guy. He's already got the killer instinct in my opinion.

Could’ve had

Russell
Tatum
Ingram
Randle
Lopez

I prefer

Ball+Kuzma
over
Russell+Tatum

Hopefully they find one in free agency. As is I think it's a platoon effort. Ingram, Randle, Kuzma, Lopez are all effective scorers depending on the match up. Kuzma is probably the most well rounded scorer.

Russell is not having a good year in Brooklyn. Ok, he had that injury, but he's still inconsistent, still not guarding anyone, still lazy and occasionally dropping a big score to keep 'em hopeful for a few more time.

You nailed it. Randle thinks of himself as a closer, but lacks the ability to space the floor. He becomes one dimensional as the clock wines down and likely to turn the ball over or throw up a wild shot. Neither Vet, KCP (18 Mil) or Lopez (18Mil) are capable from what I've seen so far. Lonzo doesn't seem to even want the ball down the stretch, but I believe it's more of a confidence issue. That said, Ingram & Kuzma are the best candidates to be that guy for this team. Why I give Kuz the advantage, he attacks hard and is a slightly better free throw shooter at this point. The future is super bright with this young core, but Paul George solves this problem immediately!

Well, it is more likely that they already decided to draft Ball so they dealt Russell away rather than the other way around. They also drafted Ball because they were confident there will be a talented scorer coming to our team this summer.

The same guy who showed he isn’t a closer in the last game? Right now it is an open position, let’s give everyone a shot.

So do I!

Actually, it is Ball + Kuzma + Hart vs Tatum + Kuzma + Russell
And it is a lineup like this
Russell
Ingram
Tatum
Kuzma
Randle

I have doubts if DLO ever turns the corner.

I prefer "ice in his veins" guys over an "ice in my veins" guy.
