lol This whole thread was funny to read. The best way to shut up a trash talker, is to beat them. Simple.
Granted, Murray has some history, because of the previous incident, referring to "Dribble-Gate". That was a classless act on his part. So, anything Murray does now, will likely be magnified.
But, like previous posters have stated, there are no "enforcer" mentality types on this team, except for Randle. Everyone else is pretty laid back, and mellow. IT is chippy...but, he's also 5'8", so........
Luke was probably going at Murray, because he wanted to set an example to his guys that when someone is disrespecting you, go back at them. I'm sure he would have preferred his players to handle Murray, instead.
With our guys, the best way to handle this type of stuff, is to win. That's the best way to have the last word. Though, a hard screen wouldn't be out of the question, either, lol.
Honestly, I don't like all this whining about people being disrespectful. I mean do something about it. So now he's punked you twice! Are you going to do something about it or continue to cry like last time? Secondly, I think Murray started his antics after the extra shove KCP gave him, right? Did Luke see that? It may have been instigated by KCP. Handle your business Tuesday. Lakers will look extra soft if they lose Tuesday after all this crying today.
That's what I saw too. I didn't notice any chippyness before KCP got a little extra with that foul. Even after that, I didn't see what Murray did since the cameras never let us lip read and he didn't look demonstrative toward the Lakers bench. I only know he said something because of Luke's reaction.

ZOOM!!!!!
No way to prove it because I doubt Luke will ever say it, but this is exactly what I was thinking when Luke blew up at Murray.
There needs to be honor in winning but nothing you can do except play harder next time. Only way to shut up a trash talker is to beat them.
Everyone wishing an injury on him needs to grow up. If someone injured Kobe due to his trash talking you'd all start a riot about how "soft" that player was for injuring Kobe because he hurt his feelings. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011

Camera didn't really capture it. You just saw Luke saying something back towards the Nuggets bench.
I love it. The NBA and sports media has stripped a lot of the emotion out of the game with all these taunting techs and overuse of the flagrant foul rule. These young players need some fire. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
The way to set him straight is to beat his team and then ignore him. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Best Flagrant foul in NBA History. Message sent and received. No more problems from Scola. _________________ "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer.

It's crazy that even the early 2000s were way rougher and more hard-nosed than the soft game these days. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I'll be glad as hell when this title is moved to whatever other forum. It's extremely annoying to even see this guy's name in a Laker thread I read practically everyday.

I had the game on and I missed it completely.
I looked it up online and even the article about it, whatever happened, I think happened out of the frame of the shot but it appeared to be after Murray made his free throw at the end.
