Didn't UMBC go 50% from the 3-point line versus Virginia? I bet K-State watched game film from that game several times and made sure they couldn't repeat that performance again.

At least I had Nevada beating Cincinnati to go to sweet 16 so there’s that...

Crazy how the teams you expected to win get blown out.

This was the first year in awhile I’ve payed much attention to college till the tourney and my bracket SUCKS lol.

I do not think it mattered this year how much basketball a person watched.....it has been a crazy tournament...just no way to predict a lot of this madness

yeah, it was extremely unlikely they could keep up that shooting pace

At least it’s exciting!

At this point I’m rooting for Nevada, then your Mountaineers (love Carter), then Nova since UCLA had no chance.

Not surprised in the least that Xavier lost early. I advanced them to the Sweet 16 on my bracket but I wasn't willing to go any further. I would've had Gonzaga or Ohio St. over them without giving it a second thought. They just seemed highly susceptible to get upset, and I thought their play down the stretch was iffy (I mean the regular season and in their conference tournament).

Incidentally, I weep at my max point potential in our contest now.

He did, and they will.

Damn Carter is as good with his hands as Ron Artest was on the defensive end. Sure hope the Lakers end up with him or Holliday.

I have never seen a college guard with hands as strong and fast as Carter's, and on top of that his anticipation is near supernatural. Usually when you see a player with a lot of steals, it is cheating or jumping the passing lanes....Carter gets most of his by literally snatching the ball from a player.

Exactly. I’ve seen about a half dozen wvu games this year and he is stripping guys several times a game. Not just jumping passing lanes like you said. He will be a major pest in the NBA for a long time. And he’s knocking down the 3.

I don't think Carter was facing much NBA-type talent in this game tonight, particularly on defense, but that was still a heck of a performance by him. He looked like he was in total command out there.

Maura gave them good looks, but their shots just weren't falling tonight... I think it was a mercy to go out on a tight game because I think Kentucky would have destroyed them.

I don't know which is a bigger choke job. Virginia losing to a 16 seed or Cincinati blowing a 22 point lead with about 10 minutes left in the game.

I am guessing the perception will be Virginia.....Cincy blowing a 22 point lead will be something that those paying attention will remember, but UVA's loss will be known and discussed by those who have yet to be born.
