Not only is history being made with a #16 beating a #1, they are doing it against the team with the best overall record in Division 1 Men's basketball this season.

I had Virigina vs Arizona in the Sweet 16.....looks like neither team will make it out of the round of 64 and my bracket is beyond ruined.

UK is looking very fortunate....many thought they could not get past Arizona, and especially not UVA.....now they do not have to...they have to beat Buffalo and UMBC to get to Elite 8

74-54, looks like it wasn't much of a game in the 2nd half.

Buffalo just became yesterdays news. I can see all the media cancelling the stories they were going to do on Buffalo and redirecting resources to UMBC,

Possibly. They showed it could be done. They will be forever remembered as the first one to do it.

A lot of things to say after that Virginia stunner. After UMBC, Cincinnati should be the 2nd happiest team today. The Bearcats started the day as 5th most likely to win the National Championship and are now 2nd after Villanova per espn.com/bpi .

TCU is just a dumb basketball team...that ending was hilarious...they were down by 5 with 26 seconds and playing like it was tie ballgame.

UMBC is part of the University of Maryland system. Most people that follow college sports probably are more familiar with their more famous older brother, the University of Maryland, College Park, also known as the Maryland Terrapins, the 2002 NCAA Division 1 national champs in mens basketball.

Wow anything can happen in the tourney....look at the schools they played. Lost to Arizona, SMU, Army, Maryland, still played well enough to qualify for the tournament and shock the NCAA basketball world.
