Bracket bully West Virginia muscles way to Sweet 16

Quote:
The No. 15 Mountaineers are a defensive wood-chipper, chewing up offensive schemes and psyches without regard for the bruising or blood splatters. You half wonder if their musket-toting mascot plans to take you out back and shoot you, just for good measure.

Quote:
As the half closed, Jevon Carter — possibly the most complete guard in the country — weaved through traffic to polish off a scooping layup at the buzzer. Carter finished with 28 points, five assists and four rebounds.

Quote:
West Virginia’s a bona fide bracket beast.

Just ask Marshall.

you need to become a fan of Texas A&M, Kansas State, and Clemson to hold your ground....btw, A&M has a solid chance to emerge from their region...

***not sure if anyone has tried it, but the Scenario Generator Tool at the top of the LakersGround Yahoo Tourney Pick'em is a fun tool to see how upcoming game outcomes would effect your bracket in comparison to everyone else's bracket.

I don't know which is a bigger choke job. Virginia losing to a 16 seed or Cincinati blowing a 22 point lead with about 10 minutes left in the game.

UVa for sure. I watched a few minutes of that game. They just didn't come to play. UMBC was better than advertised, for sure, but the UVa players looked lethargic and seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else. By contrast, 22 point comebacks are just part of the tournament culture.

obviously I think the WVU would be the best bet.....but I really like that Texas A&M line also....they looked dominant this weekend, similar to how they played early in the year. They are BIG.

Report: Purdue engineers asked to design NCAA-approved brace for Isaac Haas

Quote:
Purdue's sports medicine program has reached out to a group of mechanical engineers on campus, according to the Lafayette Journal & Courier, to see whether they can design an NCAA-approved brace that would at least open the door for 7-foot-2 center Isaac Haas to be able to return to the court this season.

Nevada mounts a furious comeback but a big time 3 probably seals the win for Loyola Chicago.

What an absurd NCAA Elite 8 matchup....Kansas St. vs Loyola Chicago.
I don't think anybody had that on their bracket.
