We know Julius, Paul George, and Bron have deservedly gotten the lion's share of attention. Just curious which of our key veterans you'd like (or wouldn't mind) see return.

I'd like to keep all of them for the right price, but if I must choose one, I'll take Lopez for what he brings as a 7 ft Center out there.

BroLo without a doubt. Best true center on this squad since Gasol/Bynum.

Consumate professional, that can stretch the floor, knock down the 3s, hit FTs, and surprise you with a 20+ game every now and then.

Also a perfect fit next to Randle who likes to have the room down low to bully his opponents.

Resign BroLo!

I would love to keep all 3 and keep the continuity going into next season.

I think IT will have worked himself all the way back by then and he’s got good chemistry with Randle and Zubac.

KCP is finally comfortable now that he can focus solely on playing ball and become a great 3 pt shooter this season to go along with his solid defense.

Brook has found his role as a guy we can turn to on the block in the half court offense. He’s been very good at scoring and drawing fouls and he’s an underrated defensive presence.

If we don’t get the two max, then we should definitely give them all another look.
If we only get PG, then I would want to bring IT and BRoLo back still.

KCP will likely be replaced with Paul George. He's been playing well since getting out of jail, but Paul George is simply too good.

Isaiah, unfortunately, is seeking a big contract and probably wants to be a starter.

Lopez, OTOH, already made 120 million dollares during his career. He is a Lakers fan and it's a good fit next to Randle. I'd love to have him on a cheap, 2-year contract.

I wouldn't be surprised if the FO grand slam scenario is having a starting lineup of...

C-Lopez (obviously only possible if he takes a lower contract, which he may do if he thinks it's for a championship at this point of his career)

PF - Bron

SF - BI

SG - PG13

PG - Ball

Have to fill in the bench, but you would be starting with Zubac, Bryrant, Kuzma and Hart

Fearsome

Brook is the only one who would likely take a room exception. IT/KCP won't.

I'm assuming if we somehow added Bron and PG 13 AND kept Brook there is no way we could keep Randle....obviously if it was possible you would keep Randle AND have those 3, but I'm not sure that's possible...from a $ perspective

Both get max.

Deng gets traded (either 2 future 1sts, or something like Deng + 1st/2nd for Asik who is then stretched). Can keep Jules, but hold off re-signing until we finish our max guys first.

Then Brook gets the room exception, keeps his Bird rights intact to 2019 when we can thank him for doing us a favor in 2018 FA.

Brook and it's not even close.

How many 7 footers can shoot + protect the rim? I don't know...

I like Brook alot, even though he's not playing every time, the start of the year was an anomaly, he's been a great scorer for his whole career.

I hope he comes back, even with LBJ and PG on the team, he's got value. Idk how much he's looking to get paid.

And he's the nicest guy on the team lol

I prefer Brook for like 3 years (last year team option). We have Josh Hart. IT, maybe if the right price and how he'll do the rest of the season. No KCP.

Only on a young team like ours, is a 25 year old KCP a "VET"

After Hibbert and then Moz, I'd be ecstatic to have a center like Lopez. Other positions are much easier to replace.

Brook if only one, but preferably all 3. Only possible if the front office forgets about Lebron (a guy can dream right?)

When KCP went to jail, there was relatively little effect on the team... when Lonzo got injured, it caused the 9 game losing streak.

Unless we sign LeBron, we must keep IT because he is the only one who can adequately cover for him for prolonged periods (Ingram was decent at point forward)

KCP has definitely done well and is very valuable shooting the 3 at close to 40%

Brook, if he plays like he has the last three games, is also worth signing as he spreads the floor plus he can protect the rim.

But simply because of the importance of a point guard... IT is the most valuable unless we sign LeBron, Kemba, or Seth to replace him.

KCP, love the defense and he is under 30 so he fits the timeline of the team better.

I like KCP too, but I believe he becomes expendable if you sign PG13.

Unless Cousins is coming our way this offseason, we need to resign BroLo.

The truth is, if we want to become a contender over this summer even if we get two stars (lbj, pg13). we need to keep all 3 of these guys. i didnt say we could because we dont know what their asking price will be. but without knowing that. I need all 3 of them.

You need brook because you need a real center for the teams that also have real centers. in addition when you go up against gstate/rockets. You will have something they dont have. see its one thing to abuse your center when your center aint all that downlow. its another for your center to be an automatic 2 points with actual post moves down on the block. thats brooke.
and he can shoot to spread the floor and he can block shots. he's an awful rebounder but so what. lol.

we need kCP because there are not a lot of two way players in the nba. you need a guy that can score on his own or with sets that can also shoot 3's and play solid man defense and team defense along the perimeter. KCP can CAUSE turnovers. that means something when the game is on the line.

IT- we already know why you need an allstar as a 6th man.

So imagine this lineup.

Zo/passer/3pter
paul george-scorer/3pter/get to the line
lebron-mvp-can get to the line/passer
Randle-can score at a highly efficient rate/can get to the line
Lopez-can spread the floor

IT-3pter
KCP-3pter
Ingram(sorry you aint as good as lbj or pg13...yet but you're about to take pg's spot in a couple of years)
Kuzma-3pter
Hart
Zubac
Bryant-can spread the floor
Caruso

so forth and so on.

that starting lineup can all play individual defense and solid to great team defense. If they move randle to center for a speed lineup and put in BI and slide LBJ down to the pf spot. thats a lock down group with multiple guys that can be floor generals and set the table aka true triple threats.

and that length.... they could switch everything.

The shortest guy is 6'7

Then you go to that bench. thats a lot of 3pt shooting for spacing purposes and to get hot just in case the starters are having an off night. a ton of fire power off the bench. and if PG13 goes down or if lbj went down. you slide kcp back into the starting spot, slide in BI and we're back to the original kids group that can play well enough until one of those stars gets back.

KCP is as good as gone imo. He is looking for a long term deal.

Brook I can see potentially taking the 1 year exception with the promise they go over the cap next year with his bird rights.

IT is a wild card. He likely wants a long term deal, but who knows if there’s anyone out there willing to give him one. He may go for a 1 year deal.

The question will be whether or not we have money to give him.
