PostPosted: Wed Mar 28, 2018 8:50 pm    Post subject: brainless popcorn films

wanted suggestions from people on here for very easy and fun to watch popcorn movies... action/adventure movies or comedy. This is a favorite type of movie for my family to watch together and I'm running thin on movies in our unwatched queue.

Hoping to get some suggestions of lesser known movies because I'm pretty sure my family has seen just about all of the blockbuster type movie releases from the last few years.

Michael Bay. Zack Snyder (if you're looking for more depressing brainless films), and anything with the Rock in it.

thanks for suggestions, doesnt have to be family oriented either as my wife often wants to watch something light and easy even when its just us 2 as she usually doesnt have the patience or energy to sit through a slow or overly confusing movie.

We enjoyed both Horrible Bosses movies + Bad Moms + Bad Teacher.
I think I'll rewatch Starship Troopers and Waiting with my wife who I dont think seen them... she should like those.

The Alien series is one I just never seemed to understand the fuss over. I found them kinda boring and was detached from the suspense. Im guess they simply didnt age well for first time viewers in the last 10 or so years.
My wife and I actually sat through Prometheus without her falling asleep or diverting to her phone... one of the most frustrating movies I ever seen.

To me, Aliens is different from the rest. One liners galore...Bill Paxton....game over man....

Re-watch "old" (and not completely mindless) movies from the 80s and 90s. Caddyshack and Police Academy for starters...

theres another movie i want to rewatch but its at the tip of my tongue... its a post-apocalyptic movie where a virus killed alot of people in England or somewhere and they send in a team led by a woman to go into the quarantine zone to figure out how the survivors of the initial virus attack survived. Within those survivors there some punk rock cannibals and then some medieval type people living in a castle.
anyone know the name of this movie?

I must have watched that movie a dozen times. Chris Carter cracked me up.

Add Jackie Brown Quentin Tarantino
