I hate Harden but I'd root for them to destroy the Celtics by 25 ppg.
I don't think the C's have a shot against the Warriors but somehow I have little confidence in the Rockets.

That's how I feel. I don't trust Houston. I think the Celtics could take them.

Which team is more likely to blow out the Celtics by 30 a game if they make the finals?

The Warriors.. or The Rockets?

We really shouldn't act like we wouldn't get enjoyment watching Steph hit a three to put them up 30 and shimmying on the Celtics title hopes

I wouldn’t trust the Celtics. They can’t win on the road. Houston and GS can. Boston is 10-0 at home but that’s against East teams. And Boston can’t even beat Milwaukee on the road; how are they going to beat the Rockets? Even if they take 1 game the Rockets can win on the road.

Yup don't trust the rockets. I hope the Ws win that series and destroy whoever comes out of the east

Would it though? The talent on their roster is staggering.

I would argue if they didn't win 3 of 4 it would actually be a disappointment.

If Hou takes game 5, then I will watch game 6.

Can't see myself staying up late on the East Coast to watch a game 7, in GS, though.

I will watch both ECF games (Yes, it's going 7).

EDIT - I am dumb - HOU has HCA.

It's terrifying to think Boston is 5 games away from winning a championship without Kyrie and Hayward. We may be looking at the next big dynasty.

Even if Houston beats the Warriors, I don't trust them to beat the Cavs. MDA, Harden will choke eventually.

Houston would beat the Celtics in 6 games though. The Celtics can only play above their heads for so long.

GS vs Celtics = GS in 6
GS vs Cavs = GS in 5

Houston vs Celtics = Houston in 7
Houston vs Cavs = Cavs in 7

If the seeding was straight across instead of East/West would the Cavs/Celtics even make it past the 2nd round?

Cleveland vs. East
35 - 17
vs. West
15 - 15

Boston vs. East
33 - 19
vs. West
22 - 8

Cavs look like they might have had an issue... but Boston looks like they would be fine no matter who they played. Then again... playoff LBJ is different than regular season LBJ... just like the Warriors.

With Kyrie and without Celtic records should be displayed imo

After Kyrie went out, they only lost one game to the West.

He only missed 15 games... wouldn't change things that much in terms of season record.

Warriors are winning tonight, they seem ready to rip someone’s face off. If it’s cavs vs rockets, LeBron wins that. If it’s Warriors vs Cavs, Warriors win that. Celtics vs Rockets, Rockets win in 6-7. Celtics vs Warriors, Warriors win in 5.

But aren't we putting it into the context of the playoffs? I'm thinking the good regular season record Boston had against the West doesn't hold up now since Kyrie is injured now.

They have a lottery pick next year too, that they got trading #1 for #3

Tatum is performing at a level right now that we were hoping for Ingram going into this season.

It was also interesting to watch him utilize the stuff Kobe talked about

After all Tatum did say if it wasn't for Kobe, he wouldn't get into basketball, so I'm sure he took that very to heart and started implementing right away.

One of the main reasons AGAIN I am sour that Ingram didn't work out with Kobe last off-season when he said he would.

Hopefully when Ingram returns from being off the grid he takes Kobe up on that. The footwork alone would do wonders for Ingram.

Like I referenced when he was back in high school when he was asked where he saw himself a few years from there, he said "Hopefully playing for the Lakers".

Well.. he was there, but the FO had already made their decision. I'm sure Lonzo will live up to the hype all that said. He just needs to not eat a plate of cheese and a plate of fries and wonder why his body isn't where it needs to be. Seems he's taking it serious now.

Of course it's better for Boston to have Kyrie... but you asked what the record was like without him... and they actually had a better won/loss record against the West.

The West doesn't seem to trouble the Celtics... we need to prepare for that reality in the future.

Warriors are the only team to blow a 3-1 lead in the finals and did it after a 73 win season. It will be hard to forget that.

And what happens if Curry isn't injured and Draymond isn't suspended?

Warriors would have won that series in five if Draymond wasn't suspended.

I still think it was a BS suspension.
