And let's not forget, Russell should have been suspended for this game according to the rule book. Lol
Good point
Cavs not getting called for goal tend at the end of game and some goofy questionable calls to allow a 30! point swing in 9 minutes in OKC is a big black eye for the league IMO.
Bet (besides the obvious nut hangers like screaming A) the media will mention this in some form or fashion tomorrow, if not (at least in the pacers case) filing a team protest.
They had a 25pt lead and y'all are gonna blame the refs
You have got to see the video though. One of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. Blowing the 25 point lead is a separate issue. I wasn’t blaming the refs for that. Maybe Utah wins if they don’t call the foul there. Maybe they still lose. Whatever. But how does someone call a foul there?
Refs had their fault, taking Gobert and Favors out of the game. At least 80% of OKC 32 points in their comeback (a 32-7 run) were in the paint or from the line.
Utah shouldn't give up such a lead, even with the refs against them. Their 4th quarter was terrible, as well. Rubio, Ingles and Crowder went MIA and everything felt on Mitchell's back. The guy is good, but he's still a rookie; he can use a little help from the vets in times like these. _________________ ....

KAT's pick and roll defense is disgusting. I get why Jokic's defense is awful. He's physically unable to do more.
But KAT is athletic enough to not be a turnstile on defense. He has no natural instinct when it comes to challenging shots. And it wouldn't hurt if he worked on his lower body strength. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Wasn't Towns rated as the #1 prospect in his draft class largely because of his potential defensive abilities? And with defensive specialist Thibs as coach, why isn't he better?
How is Minnesota still so good on defense with Towns as their anchor when he's so bad? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Yes he was. He doesn’t play very hard on that end and shys away from contact.

Thibs yelling his lungs out probably isn't getting thru to his players.

^^ Minn was 22nd in dRtg. They were NOT good on defense.
But they were 4th in oRtg.

That’s odd for a Thibs team...
I feel like Minnesota should have been a better team with the combo of Butler and Towns, with former #1 pick Wiggins as the third wheel... _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Nooo i was hurt by that loss. Never a joke when it comes to playoff P loll. All year I've been saying the Thunder suck I need them to lose already
Don't worry.
Utah will swallow them up in game 6.
And Paul will run into your waiting arms.
mannnn.. that'll be so great
Even if Utah wins game 6. I think game 5 may have helped RW in keeping PG13. I say RW because I don't believe OKC management really wants to keep this band together. LOL! They were both doing their thing in that comeback, it goes a long way in contributing to sentimental camaraderie and brotherhood.
When OKC was getting blown out, it was a lock. But not anymore.

The opposite argument can also be made...they're a longggg ways away if they're down 3-1 and 25pts at home. Not close to a real contender. Russ had to go nuclear and George score timely/perfectly ..just to be down 3-2.......
Lebron's block was goal-tending. NBA has to change stupid technicality stuff and just focus on getting calls right. Who cares if it wasn't called on the floor? There should be a challenge system, where you get to challenge a call or non-call. The next day transparent stuff is BS crap.
They also admitted that they missed the call right before that where they said the ball was out of bounds off LeBron. I don't know how the NBA can explain that reviewable calls are being missed in the final seconds.
