Timberwolves don't deserve the 8th seed.

Or legs.

People wonder why Thibs' teams always run out of gas during the playoffs...it's not hard to piece together why.

Harden only played one or two minutes less per game than these guys... and he's older. Not sure we can blame it all on that.

D'Antoni doesn't run them into the ground during practice however. Remember, that was the "problem" that Lakers fans had with D'Antoni and were happy when Scott first got here because he ran practices harder?

Thibs does it in both practice and the games and it shows.

If you want to beat the Rockets, you have to shut down Harden. Spurs did it last year when they held him to 10 points in an elimination game.

I disagree...unless you mean "new" as in like the "New Coke" which was much worse than the old Coke.

guy took over the game in the clutch. Harden and Kobe don't do things in a similar way, but they do "it". that's what I mean.

Makes sense, if he doesn't give them proper recovery time.

doesn't make a lot of sense really, as Harden is more of a combo guard.

Lucky for him he can ride Harden's coattails....
On the Clippers, he had to rely on Blake and we know how well that went.

Not really getting this comparison. The Broncos actually look worse now than when Manning was the QB that year.

Besides Manning at least got out of the second round a few times.

Call me when CP3 finally does it.

Harden is a far more efficient scorer than Kobe. When you look at the numbers it honestly really isn't close. Harden is a freak.

More efficient than Kobe whom shot 45-46% from the field across his entire career till he tanked those percentages in his last two seasons?

Kobe whom had 11 seasons scoring above 45% from the field or higher to Harden's 1?

Harden's a more efficient scorer than THAT Kobe? Or is this some other Kobe you're talking about?

Harden is inarguably a more efficient scorer than Kobe. How is that even a debate?

That doesn't mean he's had a better career or that he's a better player. But I would hope that an argument of who is more efficient doesn't come down to field goal percentage. That's as archaiac as saying that a baseball player who hits .280 must be better than a player that hits .265, well, just because.

Pretty damn easy to be "more efficient" when the refs give the more "efficient" player multiple trips to the FT line on phantom calls vs. a guy getting tackled (patterson), close lined (bell) and just straight up tripped/stepped under (jones) with no calls over the years...
Frankly I'm stupefied that someone arguing harden is more efficient is conveniently leaving out the change in the style of play the NBA is allowing these days...

and this is why (bleep) stats lie. Years from now when we're all old and grey, the history books will not be kind to Kobe because (bleep) stat geeks will take someone like Harden and put him above a player like Kobe because the stats says so.

Took a monster PG game to win. Jazz will make the defensive adjustments and win Game 2.

Kobe had 11 seasons shooting 45% from the field or higher and Harden's only had 1, 5 years ago.

That's a good starting point.

On his 9 NBA seasons, Harden had 6 seasons with a TS% > .6, Kobe had none his all career. And Harden had 2 more seasons where he shot .598
Doesn't mean Harden is a better player, but he's a much more efficient shooter. There's not really any debate...

T-pups played retard basketball. If I were them, I'd call up the top 2K player in the world to coach them because I'm sure his game planning and adjustments would be much better than Thibs.

Harden is better than Kobe at manufacturing calls (within NBA rules), he’s better than MJ and LeBron too in this

Harden's TS% is better than Kobe's... Kobe was a more skilled scorer and shot creator... but like Shaq's repetoire was very simple... Harden is very efficient at what he does, which is drive to the rim and draw fouls and shoot the three fairly well.

Not really a fair comparison, because the game was different than when Kobe played... but Harden is a master of what he does, even though it doesn't look as flashy.
