Skinny Europeans like Pau Gasol? He was 7'1" and maybe 220#. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

Yeah, yeah... I know. You think Mitch is an idiot, all the time... because 90% of you could do a much better job.

They'll never be consistent. I've given up hope of that. _________________ "In essence, the trade was: Shaq, Rick Fox and Gary Payton for Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Profit, 2nd round picks, a 1st round pick and 30 million in luxury tax saviings." - LakerJam

It's easy to blame Mitch, but it's time that the Buss family take some accountability. |
A Gm that did what your asking wouldn't last very long. If he challenges ownership too much, they'll simply fire him, and bring in a yes man. |
That's true, but Jerry West lasted a long time. |

I'm tired of Euro's. They keep hyping up these European players waiting for the "chosen one" and I just haven't really been impressed with any of them with the execption of Dirk Diggler. |

Mitch needs to make the trade NOW.
He needs to think about Kobe and his prime, not some guys that will peak in 5-6 years.
Mitch, you have the best player in the NBA... Surround him with talent and watch him win games!!! |
You're just sick of soft Euros.
Ever watch Nenad Krstic play? Yeah, 20 points 10 rebs 2 blocks against Shaq during the 1st round of the playoffs last season?
MM... Right...
Gasol is skinny, he's not soft. Playing big goes with size and mentality. At least the kid has the length and the mentality. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Forgetting Ginobili, Kirilenko, and Kristic already?
You must like soft Euros if you like Dirk. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Mike, he's probably never seen Marcilionus or Schrempf either. Neither were big, but played tougher than most American NBA ballers. Soft is definitely a state of mind. |

However, this guy is 7-2-220
He's probably soft..
No more projects.
We have the best player in the league. No more projects. No more potential players. Surround him with good players NOW. _________________ Agent 62 |

^Kinda hard to surround him with good players when there's little cap flexibility and a slim chance the Lakers would make a big trade.
I like how you say he's "probably soft" when other sites have said the opposite.
Even Slava was 6'10" 250. Doesn't mean he knew how to use it. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

We need to draft this guy based on his name alone.
We'd have A-bomb, and A-Tomic |

This is what you're problem is.
Just dealing to be dealing without any other considerations other than the fact that a player can run, jump and shoot to the point that you're impressed. You don't know enough about Mitch's job to make the calls that you do.
Like so many others in here you have no idea of what the conditions are that MK is working under. Mitch isn't independantly picking up anybody he pleases in the draft without discussion and, debate. Trades don't take place for a wwwwwhhhhooollleee lot of reasons. You need to calm down... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |
