I kind of like the new guy that has been the PA announcer while Tanter is out sick. Anybody know who he is? He's actually a breath of fresh air. The guy has a nice voice. Much better than Tanter. I know Tanter is an icon but he's getting a little stale in my opinion.

South Bay Lakers public address announcer Jason Barquero served as Tanter’s replacement for Sunday’s game.

| Man, I watched the game but didn't hear the new guy, especially since I watched it in ESPN. I do like Tanter's old school throwback voice. It's like something out of the past. |

Tanter is old school and a legend. I have been his biggest supporter over the years. But now I think it's time for a change.

I disagree - I don't like most of the tacky, overdramatic NBA announcers these days. I like the classy Laker approach. Let our game do the talking, not some corny wedding DJ.

They have modernized things. The only thing the same from showtime is Tanter. |

love low key Lawrence ...the show is on the floor...no need to take the spotlight away from the team (I'm sure most of the high profile fans would agree) |
