I don't know how to post this as a poll in the NFL discussion thread.

This may be Russell Wilson's last shot at starting in the NFL. It's time for the old Wilson to show up. It's also time for Mike Tomlin to do more than have winning seasons. Philadelphia has some pressure on them too. Jaylen Hurts has it on his shoulders to take the Eagles to the big dance. He has to stay healthy. The window is closing.

After signing Russell Wilson, Steelers trade 2022 1st-round pick Kenny Pickett to Eagles

Mike Tomlin. He is always on the “hot seat” despite winning a Super Bowl and never having a single losing season in his 20 year coaching career.

That's my take also. However how much ownness should be placed on the organization? IMO they stayed with Ben Roethlisberger long after he was spent. (OTHER)

Pickett. Steelers signed Russ and Pickett asked out.

Tomlin has had sub-standard support from the owner. They don't spend on assistant coaches or facilities. Rooney had to divest his other businesses to raise the cash to buy out his brothers, so he has a huge mortgage and little income outside of the team. He's still very rich, but the operation cuts corners where it can, which has hampered the team's ability to attract & retain talent.

Tomlin is still a top-3 head coach.

Tomlin will get hired if Pittsburgh is dumb enough to let him go.
Russell Wilson on the other hand is on the downside of his career and could be out of the league.

The Steelers got Jalen Hurts. I read he accepted the backup position. There is no competition between Hurts and Wilson. That takes a load off of Tomlin for now. If Wilson doesn't play well the pressure to play Jalen will mount.

Pickett seems like a kook to me.

Pittsburgh gave him a great opportunity, he performed poorly on the field and then exhibited attitude like he was a high level franchise QB by multiple accounts.

He is a backup at best and I am glad he is happy in Philly as he just needs to not get a cramp in his hand holding the clipboard.
