I'm really looking forward to Monday Night Football playing the Chiefs in Mexico City. Both teams are 9-1. Early Vegas line Rams are favored by 2 to 1/2. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Great game yesterday. I went knowing the Seahawks likely wouldn't win, so I was just hoping for a fun and competitive game, and that it was.
It will be nice when the Inglewood stadium is completed, because the Coliseum is a dump and just can't handle today's modern crowds with multiple concession stands crammed into the limited perimeter space.
But I will say this, the Rams fans were great. There were a fair number of Hawks fans where we were sitting and it was a playful and good natured back and forth. And there was one great guy who had somehow bought a case of waters packed in ice and boxes of peanuts that he would just toss to people in the crowd, Rams and Hawks fans alike.
Had a blast. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

The Coliseum probably could've used a renovation like what they did to Memorial Stadium up in Berkeley but it would've lost its historical landmark status. Also the Coliseum Commission had the last say on what type of renovations USC could've put in the stadium, and they were the ones that gave the go ahead for the current type of renovations. |

I was a bit stunned to see the scale of the new construction on it. Seems like a ton of money for a place that will not be housing a professional team. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

ACL tear for Cooper Kupp. He had a rough season with the concussion, sprained mcl and now this. He will be back stronger than ever. He is a tough kid. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

That place needed/needs renovations period.
I’ll bet it hasn’t changed since I last visited in the 90s.
Would help just to modernize it and for USC recruiting.
Plus it can host a few more Lakers championship parades!

Apparently the field conditions in Mexico City are pretty bad. NFL officials are going down there tomorrow to check it out. If they don't think it's safe enough to play on the game will be in Los Angeles on Monday night _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Aaron Donald - 12.5 sacks

Considering Mr. Stan Lee is in our thoughts, for the very few people who read his comic books in their youth and who also follows the Rams, he is like the character Juggernaut. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

Discussions continue about whether Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game will be played in Mexico City, LA or postponed, per sources. NFL determined to play it Monday night in Mexico City, but the field is “a mess” and might not be safe for players. It’s a significant concern. |
It would suck if it got postponed but I'd rather that happen than a player on either team gets hurt because of crappy field conditions. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Wonder how smoky it'll be. The game yesterday at the 49ers place was filled with smoke. |

It must be pretty bad considering the Rams use the field like 12 hours after a USC game has taken place and I've never heard complaints about that. That being said they had an entire month to remedy the situation. |

Quote: | Sources from the Rams and Chiefs told Yahoo Sports there had been a flurry of concern over the state of the field since October. Soon after the Shakira concert, photos of the grass surface circulated inside the league and teams showing the field in significant disrepair. The sources said that quickly led to pressure on Estadio Azteca officials to ensure the surface would be in peak shape for the Nov. 19 game.
As this week approached, the concern prompted officials inside the teams to question whether relocation of the game was possible. As part of the international series, it’s mandatory for the “home” team in the matchup to keep the date open at their stadium in the event a game gets derailed. Per that agreement, the Rams kept the Nov. 19 date available at the L.A. Coliseum in case of emergency.
The field at Mexico City’s iconic stadium has apparently been a concern for months, following a change from natural to hybrid grass last spring. But the heavy use of the turf since the installation has hindered its growth in recent months, leaving the surface susceptible to damage from heavily trafficked events. None were as problematic as the Shakira concert, which left the surface in a state that hasn’t recovered fully over the past month. Interestingly, Estadio Azteca continued to host other events over the last month in spite of the damage, further hindering the recovery of the field. |

Either it's close or it traveled there. It was smoky yesterday. Players had to put on oxygen masks (at least Odell did). |

Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game now is being moved from Mexico City to Los Angeles due to poor field conditions in Estadio Azteca, per sources. Back to LA for the Rams, who have been training for altitude in Colorado Springs. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Wouldn't be surprised if they continue training there since the air around Thousand Oaks is still pretty bad. |
