I'd be surprised if Ennis returns.

They are probably not going to be picked up. I wouldn't mind bringing back Bryant or Zubac with a minimum contract though.

Of the three I think Bryant deserves a 2nd look.

Tyler and Zu had their 2nd look didn't show much.

Bryant is worth bringing back. Ennis and Zubac are not. Ennis is gone no matter what, but Zubac could potentially be brought back at the very last minute if no one picks him up and they have no better options for bench bigs. That's why Ennis was brought back last season.

Bryant was this FO's draft pick, so he will likely be retained.....Zubac may if there is roster room.....Ennis is likely no on the Lakers roster next season.

Zubac and Ennis can't leave fast enough.

Especially Zubac. I've never in my life seen a 7 footer play with negative aggression. Even his wide open dunks, he was scared to hurt the rim.

Ennis definitely not.

Zu and Bryant maybe. Till we know what Brook is doing, and what else is available in free agency. Zu and Bryant are still developing and centers on small deals so we should keep them.

Ennis not so much.

Especially if we do some wheeling and dealing, I could see one or more of these men being signed and traded away as part of a larger deal.

I think we will find a better third point guard option than Ennis. Bryant and Zubac, I would think we will keep one, I mean you need to have a tall center on your deep bench for depth and certain matchups.

Sounds like an excellent law firm, but only a decent NBA bench.

Ennis, I hope not. I said that about Huertas too and he was brought back, but that was a previous regime.

Bryant will come back, the FO is developing him.

Zubac, previous regime...didn’t show the commitment to fitness that Magic specifically asked the team to address, doesn’t look like he’s progressed at all. We may give him one more year, wouldn’t be surprised if we let him walk. 50/50.

Zubac does not play with enough urgency and aggression which befits a 7 foot tall human being. He's young enough to play with reckless abandonment. Like..dive into the stands once in a while for a loose ball please.

How soon do you give up on 21 year old 7 footers who have shown good work ethic and one or a combination of a) good hands, b) good foot work, c) 3 point shooting.

I’m not really concerned what happens with any of them, none bring much on the court impact.

Zubac is probably done here. If he comes back, hopefully it's as a trade chip and we look for a Center in the draft.

Good point. We have seen over the last few seasons with Caruso, Ennis, Black, Payton et al. that it is hard to get young players with NBA talent and abilities. Quite frankly, it is going to be hard to replace the potential of Zubac and Bryant; whether or not they ever reach that potential is unknown. Somehow, before September--and assuming that Kuzma can be the backup SF and PF--the Lakers need a backup PG, another SG, starter C, backup C, and Randle. Unless the Lakers decide that they need their cap space for another top of the line free agent, there is a reasonable chance that Zubac and Bryant are kept around.

Bryant - stays - lakers will take more time to evaluate

Ennis - gone - lakers pick up a back up PG in the draft

Zubac - put into a trade package

Ennis is almost certainly a goner. Zubac and Bryant at 50/50, probably one comes back, other maybe gets moved.

I still think that Zu is a player- he is so young and I think he will get better, but I get why people have given up on him.

I would keep Bryant.

Ennis I would keep depending on the circumstances. I would not be sad to see him go, but I could understand keeping him if we need a cheap back up PG due to us being completely capped out and unable to get a better replacement.

Zu, at age 20 and with some tenacity and reasonably ok soft touch, is a lock sign for some team. And he has upside.
